Why didn't you play them in order?

I picked up uncharted 4 first, then the collection a couple weeks after. And I was told the fourth was irrelevant to the first 3 so didn't think I should start from the 1st one

Might be harder to get back into the older games as game mechanics change/evolve and that's on top of the visuals.

I think they did a great job with the remaster. I got the platinum trophy in all four in the span of a week and didn't think the drop from UC1 to 4 was as drastic as I had anticipated.
