Can we connect a portable HDD thru usb and download/play games on the ps4?

They're supposedly releasing a  patch sometimes soon to fix it.

Seagate is dropping a 2TB drive that fits the PS4 soon. They announced it earlier this month so hopefully it will be on shelves in the upcoming weeks. Blogs are reporting $129 shelf price. The name of the drive is Spinpoint M9T.

Nice I read up on that drive but didn't know the price. Hopefully it releases soon the way I see it now the stock drive will get chewed through by next year easy if not mid 2014.

no
updating is still annoying as hell
downloading isn't any faster 
The games so far aren't worth copping. 
Especially the cross-gen games.
There's no real reason to cop a ps4 right now other than hype.
But that's just me.

I'm tempted to just go and get the Hitachi 1.5TB today and not wait for the Seagate.

Need a lil help with my htib and ps4. I have the hdmi going from the ps4 to the tv and a optical cable from the ps4 to the receiver but only the front 2 speakers work. This worked perfect on my 360 (had full surround) but having no luck on the PS4. The receiver only has one hdmi and one optical outputs

I have my ps4 set up with one hdmi going to receiver hdmi input and optical going from ps4 to receiver. Then hdmi out going from receiver to TV. Go into ps4 systems settings - audio options and change audio output from hdmi to optical cable.

As I said before, hype is what is selling these ps4s.

Hype is what almost made me buy one.

I interpreted his question as "Is it worth it to go through the trouble of getting a ps4 at launch?"

My answer was obviously no. He can wait it out if he doesn't feel the need to have the latest/greatest right now.

1. On the 360, updating is severly less annoying than updating on the ps3/4.

2. Downloading games on my 360 is faster than on my ps3. Is it really so out there to expect that dling games would be a litte bit faster on the ps4?
