The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Yes, if you're a gamer, even more so a PlayStation gamer, than this is without question worth it. Next starts HERE.

1. Updating is ALWAYS annoying, no matter what console, things need to be updated for better performance.
2. Of course not, over a million people are hitting Sony servers for the last 72hrs, what are you expecting right now? Things will get better in the coming days.
3. Do you even own any games or the console bro?
4. Zzzzz
5. Read the opening statement.
6. Salty.

Who is this guy? I've seen his name quite a few times in the thread but never paid anymore attention than that

There are only mediocre to good games out there for it now. Sounds like Resogun and Killzone are the only ones worth coppin. One is a sidescroller though and the other one is Killzone.

I would think that that guy is more objective than the biggest sony stan on this board
Resogun is fun. I went in with low expectations, but was pressently surprised.

Some people mistake my skepticism as negativety.
Then make generalizations that make no sense.
Such as the ones you've made.

But i was joking with all of them. I thought u knew that. If not, then i sincerely apologize.
Oh I see, my mistake then.

Someone on reddit posted his remaining hdd space, which was 70gb.
He dled pretty much all the available ps4 games and that's the amount of hdd space that he had left.
500gb looks like it'll be the 20gb of next gen.

Exactly why the need to let us connect HDD by usb

Except the data transfer rates are slower on a USB connection and probably won't be ideal for running a game off of. Music and videos would be fine for sure though.

You can change the internal HDD with a higher capacity drive. I'm probably going to get a larger capacity drive around Black Friday/Cyber Monday or Boxing Day/Week.

Hi all,

We are deploying a new server to the Playstation4 platform, you might be disconnected from your session as servers are restarting to apply the new patch.

The server update addresses a very severe crash issue on the PS4.

Best regards
Striterax

EA just saw the PS4 sales numbers :lol

What's the source of this news?

This guy. Stick to XBone son, sounds like the right audience for you.
Why are you acting like the xb1 audience is lesser than the ps4 auidence?

Especially when part of the reason why so many ps4s have been sold has been because people who had 360s jumped ship and boarded the U.S.S $ony.

Stuck on trying to save the last human on the last levels in Resogun. It happens too fast I blink and he's dead. Smh lol

You're one cleaver kid, you must be able to find your seat in the back of the bus with no problem, then again you only have a short distance to walk.

lol booooooooo :lol .. try again lmaooo

lol how old are you.. there's no excuse for being this lame at such a young age, please tell me your in your late 30's !! lmaoo sadddddd !!

Do you guys turn the power off and unplug the cord or just leave your PS4 in standby?
It's better to take off the cord to ensure that no power is being used.

I've been doing that since PS1.

I only leave the plug in if I'm dling lots of content off of psn.

Yeah cause doesn't it say before unplugging the cord shut down the console first, like when you hold to home button down and what not

Do you leave every piece of electronics in your home unplugged (sans refrigerator), when you're not using them?

dont just unplug the cord, wrap it with the original tie, put it in the original bag, then place it in the original box

that feeling every time you set up and start the machine to play a game

I kind of had this problem at first.  Not sure if others are having my same experience, which is:

I realized that you have to push the headphone plug into the bottom of the controller fairly aggressively.  It's almost to the point, where you think, given the feel, that it shouldn't go any further, but then it kind of just clicks in.

my man.

:lol What? are ya'll serious? leave it in ******g standby. Initial boot on electronics uses a lot more electricity than you think if conservation is your goal. And i'd think constant cold boots add more to wear and tear than powering up out of standby.
