Ahh man, you should've bought it. Just take it apart and clean the shells. I had to do that recently because my nephews thought it was smart to play video games while eating pancakes + syrup, lol.

NES came first & should be on the left.
They lay the items out for pattern recognition & they did an incomplete job.

And it looks like that NES may have had a warranty repair/refurbished by NES sticker on the top that was removed.
