Sprint spikes the past few decades have been made with a stiff plate. This screams "gimmick". Just like how Nike came out with air soles, then years later when their air patent ran out came out with Shox, then went back to saying minimalism is the way to go with Nike Free. Now we are back to thick air soles again.
