It was 2004 and I still was in high school, so I'm walking the hallways with my Lakers Kareem Abdul Jabbar jersey and a kid approached me and asked me whos jersey is that and I responded Kareem Abdul Jabbar's, he looked dumbfounded lol. Shout out to ESPN Classic for putting me onto these legends. That's how my love for old school hoops started.

About 12 years ago when I was heavy into collecting vintage shoes, I had found a swap meet vendor who used to own a shoe store. He let me go into his stash of ds shoes and pick whatever I wanted for $5 a pair. I must’ve bought over 60 pairs of various brands and that LA Gear Flak shoe was one of them. Those and the Karl Malone MailMan light ups sold well back in the day. Wish I had kept a pair but I sold every single pair I bought from that dude.
He shot a commercial or something at the park gym across the street from me. I wanted to get my basketball card signed but some of the park employees told me he was really mean/rude and didn’t want anybody to ask him anything.

That’s true too, but I’ve heard from other people‘s experiences online that he’s pretty consistent in staying in that mood. All good though, I wasn’t even mad at him. My real hero A.I. better not do me like that though
