What you rather happen to you when you die?

Have a burial or to be cremated.

I want to buried peacefully when I die.

I don´t think I´m gonna go, pretty sure I live in the right lifetime for a robot body or consciousness upload.

BUT, just in case it does happen I legit want:

...and then to be turned into a tree, like the homie up there mentioned.

Oh, nice! The place right by Ole’s and Gong Cha? I love La Vic’s orange sauce.

I miss Alameda. :frown: Havent been there in months since hubby moved to the north bay.
That's the one. I love Island because the burritos are huge and they're not cheap with the fillings. Their Super Nachos are bomb too.

Didn't La Vic's used to be in San Jose only? I remember hearing about that orange sauce. Didn't even know they opened up one in the East Bay. Will go soon and report back.

I wonder how Mother's day on May 10th is going to turn out with this Corona lockdown being lifted or extended.
I bet they're going to extend it to the 15th like LA. Just because they don't want people out and about for Cinco De Mayo and Mother's Day.

Even if the lockdown is lifted, It'll still be slow to be fully open, im guessing mid June.

Besides the Vietnamese food, la vics sauce was about the only thing I liked about SJ. I used to have to go a lot because my ex went to SJ state :lol

I didn't like the Vietnamese food in San Jose. I thought it would be better than Oakland because there's a bigger population of Vietnamese there but it wasn't as good. I do like their "coffee shops" tho.

How's the food without the sauce? All I hear is that and not about the food by itself.

Will go check it out again once things reopen. Not really a fan of Bun Ho Hue though and my expectations for Banh Mi is high. Hard to beat Ba Le in Oakland.

Any recommendations in that area?

Yeah the one in Hayward is on Mission Blvd. Right near CSU East Bay.

When this is all over, we and the other Bay Area folks should go get drinks!

I'm going to check out Ba Le :nerd:. Have you been to Sing Sing on Hyde? Its my favorite in the city.

for SJ banh mi i recommend Duc Huong. The thing that sets them apart imo is that they bake their own bread in house

I walked by Sing Sing a couple of times but didn't bother trying it. I'll for sure check it out if it's your favorite, out of the whole city too?:wow::nerd:

Have you tried Banh Mi house in San Bruno? My former coworker's in laws own that place, looks bomb too, but it looks too perfectly assembled haha. I'm gonna do a side by side review soon. I should make it a whole day event with Duc Huong. .

Also, There's two Ba Le in Oakland. Don't go to the one in Chinatown, that's a fake one. Go to the ghetto one on International. Two different owners.
