Just got home from work. As I'm opening my door, I hear what sounds like water just blasting. I walk towards my bathroom and the whole floor is just flooded. Water just shooting up in the air from the floor. I quickly change out of my work clothes, go in and try to see where it's coming from. I imagine it's the line that is connected to the toilet. Trying not to get soaked, I grab my umbrella to try and block the water. Was finally able to reach down and turn off the water.
I call my apartments after hours #, explained the situation. Telling me to just try and soak up the water with something and they'll be out first thing in the morning. My neighbor who lives directly below me comes up and asks if I have any water leaking. Told him what I just came home to. Apparently the water is leaking down into his bedroom. Can't even take a piss, fml!

This weekend, a 36-year-old patient escaped from a psychiatric facility in Marseille, in the Bouches du Rhône.
In his escape, Hilaire traveled more than 1,000 km and stopped on Sunday evening in the parking lot of the E19 motorway in Ruisbroek, Belgium, and checked into a room at the Best Western for the night.
The next morning, he wandered the halls naked and slaughtered the maid with a fire extinguisher in the head after hearing voices ordering him to kill her.
The 33-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Her name was Xhuljeta.
The parents of the victim were shot dead in 2002 in Albania, his country of origin, by a young man. The girl, then 14, had witnessed their murder after hiding under the bed.
One of Xhuljeta's sisters was injured in the shooting.
After the killing, the children fled Albania and took refuge in Greece before settling in Belgium. Xhuljeta had been working at this hotel for 5 years.
Since his arrest, the suspect has walled in silence. It is not known how he escaped from his psychiatric hospital in Marseille and ended up in Belgium despite the border closures for “non-essential travel” due to the Covid.
He is due to appear before the investigating judge on Wednesday.

Moved on Monday. Spent most of Tuesday cussing out comcast.
Started building two drawers/nightstands at 11 p.m. it's now 2:30 and the drill died in the middle of building the second one.

Fred Savage was an amazing actor.

, terribly sorry to hear what happened to you and your downstairs neighbor.Real ****** up situation and I’ve been there before. I had an upstairs neighbor develop a crack in his bathtub so whenever he showered the water would just drop onto the roof of my bathroom and eventually drop into my bathtub. I didn’t want it spreading anywhere else so I cut a hole in the roof of my bathroom (right over the tub) where all the water can directly fall in and not spread to any other spots in my apartment. Glad I did because our slumlord took his sweet *** time just to LOOK at what the problem was
