Welp, Amy really did try out injecting cocaine in her *** :smh:
This is going from bad to real bad rather quickly.
It's almost impossible to stop an addict unless they want to stop themselves. It sounds like she's not ready to face whatever pain she's trying to numb with her addiction. Or worse, she may not even know she's using to avoid issues in her life. Even so, if you care about her I'd say try to intervene in someway.

Humans are gifted at finding something to complain about. Some more then others. Jennifer Aniston was saying she hates that she's always seen as Rachel and how that role was almost a gift and a curse... Becoming a known actress is already hard enough, but you became a millionaire from one of the most popular sitcoms in history. It annoys me that she can find something to gripe about. If she wasn't as popular, she'd probably be complaining that her character didn't get the respect it deserved.

And I'm aware of the irony that I'm complaining to decry complaining so don't bother pointing that out

She can't complain because we had to suffer from her character watching Friends, she was boring as hell, and she also proved us she can not do anything better than this boring character
On the other side we're not famous so we must have difficulties to understand this but I can understand "an artist" who doesn't want to be only one thing, like Eminem with Marshall Mathers LP (random)

I somehow could understand the feeling of being typecasted as it could be both a double-edge sword. I guess all that fame and money wasn't enough for her to just simply ignore on being called as Rachel but she did the show anyway. on the otherhand, if you were that good, you should have been able to break out of that stigma.

I'm a recovering addict myself so I know what it's like, I'm almost done lowering my opioid dosage back to the prescribed amount instead of the much higher abusive amount.

I do think she's lying to herself about how she got to this point. I've only known her since February but back in March/April she was in a serious depression and confided in me that she was having suicidal thoughts. I was and still am the only person she felt comfortable telling about it. I did what I could to comfort her and she got better in the next few weeks. It seemed like she's was feeling consistently happy for the past few months, that's what she said and the impression I got from talking to and hanging out with her.

The past 30 days though is where it somehow went really wrong and the coke addiction started. She currently says she's not unhappy but I refuse to believe that given the circumstances.

Congrats on weening yourself down. Stay strong.

You're a good dude for being there. Good for her to have someone who knows what she's going through.

Was she ever talking meds for her depression?

I think it could be a good thing to complain as long it helps to take distance with what you complain about, because there are always people who struggle more than you, and that doesn't mean your problems are not important. You don't have to not care about how you feel just because people dying or something. I am very agree with the following quote because sometimes you just got to accept things you can't change and other times and even if it seems like something not really important you got the power to change things, so don't give up...
  • Ghost Dog : Among the maxims on Lord Naoshige's wall, there was this one: "Matters of great concern should be treated lightly." Master Ittei commented, "Matters of small concern should be treated seriously."

No - America were there containing the peace. Now that the troops are being pulled out, the Talibans has control of the country.
People having been wanting to pull the troops, many didn't even want them sent, so why is it an issue over here?

they got 20 years to rebuild the country only to fall in 1 day after the U.S. troops left. problem I'd guess is the country itself wasn't ready nor wanted to become independent. otherwise, they would have build enough military to fight the Taliban.
