the thread about nothing...

My friend today just told another friend in a group chat to stop bothering him to come over today because he’s watching Blade Runner 2049, so it is weird you bring that one up

I’ve never seen 2049, I will, but not until I rewatch the Harrison Ford one which I haven’t seen since high school film class.

Love the original, but 2049 was maybe the most visually and aurally pleasing movie I've ever seen in the theater (other than 2001 in IMAX). That all synth music score and the dark, warm colors made for an incredible experience. I wish I would have seen it a couple more times in the theater.

yeah I've been doing OT the past couple months.. Normally I would have 3 day weekends but I've been doin OT an extra 2 days a week. Paychecks been nice but took a break this weekend lol worn out

I've been on mandatory overtime since like ******* March with little hope of a normal schedule this year. I would do almost anything for a regular 40-hour week. 10+ hour days and 1-day weekends get pretty tiring.

Mandatory overtime?

Nah, your health comes first b.

You drop dead today, they'll find someone else to replace you within the week and on top of that, pay that person less than they are paying you.

Never heard of mandatory overtime, **** is almost voluntary everywhere I've been.

I just posted and didnt read your post. I've been working 58 hours weeks for about 7 years now. That 5 - 10 hours days and 8 hours on Saturday. Sundays are the only day I have to rest, do house chores, and spend quality time with my fam. So I really know the feeling.

Our job is mandatory OT. We are in such dire conditions of needing workers until they put a policy in place and made us sign it. We can still take time off but it's very limited to how and when.

I would more than likely do it myself if I were in the same position(not like you have much of a choice though). Just don't know how long I would last lol. Only thing is I'm not doing much of anything on my off days though.

Same. Finding and retaining good employees has been incredibly difficult ever since the 'Rona, and starting pay is almost double what it was when I started there. Business is booming, but it's impossible to keep up. A lot of industries in the same boat. They're to the point that they're going to have to lighten the schedule regardless of workload because long-time employees are starting to drop out.

I go back and watch a lot of older shows that I've never seen and/or completed.

One thing I notice about the late 80s and early 90s is how common Nose Jobs were. ( #MagicJohnsonTweet for sure )

I wasn't even Black Women that fell prey but so many others would seriously just pop up the following season of a show with a new nose.

I wonder if that happens more/less in 2021.
