I’ve had it one side of my ribs as well. Super painful and it looked awful too, still have the scars .
got mine pretty bad while I was attending university. chest, face, eyebrow, lip, neck, one side of the ear. fever was painful. couldn't sleep for days nor have appetite to eat and have to be cuddled by my ex-gf. funny thing was that I was still extremely sexually active in that condition. glad she didn't get it.

Wow man, I thought I had it bad on just one part of my body. You’re a champ for real.

it was really a misconception on my part. I thought having chicken pox as a kid would make you already immune to the virus. never thought that you could still get it in some other form or atleast re-emerge since the virus stays dormant once you have it. still you would get infected from someone. guess I was susceptible to that kind of virus more.

I mentioned that my fever was painful. forgot to add I was suffering from a freakin migraine during that time as well, felt like a hang-over that you couldn't get rid of. just had to weather the storm for almost a week. just glad, it didn't leave any scars.

Since there was talk of meetups with sales/purchases on here within the last few weeks, I'm actually supposed to deal with picking up something in person that I got on eBay sometime later today. I have to arrange it with the seller.

The seller was cool as hell with lowering the price to $25 for the item in his listing. He offered either $8.95 shipping or free local pickup. He called eBay to inquire about doing pickups and conveyed it to me.

I already paid the $25 on eBay using Paypal. I chose the free local pickup to save money. We realized we're both within the vicinity after some communication via eBay messages.

I figured this shouldn't be risky for either of us because of the item and the price. I already paid for the item. And I doubt he would be trying to set me up. Am I right?

I recall TURBO UNO TURBO UNO mentioning he dealt with meetups via eBay and felt safe because they have the seller and buyer information on record. So it wouldn't make sense for either of us to do anything harmful or detrimental to each other.

He even suggested to meet a public transportation stop that's close to my residency, it's Metro rail station to be specific. I feel that's safe and public enough for us.

Can anyone suggest ideas or elaborate on meetups with transactions? Is his idea with meeting at an open public transit spot acceptable? I would think so. Are there any other precautions I need to take?

I never thought I would ever pick up an item in person through eBay because everything has been strictly delivery for me for so many years now.

He aint gonna pull a fast one over $25. Metro stop is public and safe enough in general.

That sounds about right with the variables with my scenario being a buyer.

Now, if I was a seller with a coveted item or something that has a higher sale price I wouldn't meet a stranger to make a sale even if it was in public because the risk to get robbed is possible based on those factors with that one.

That's why I'm glad I sold those 2008 Countdown Pack Jordan XI for $610 on GOAT recently because I wouldn't have to deal with the possible dangers of selling to a stranger in person. That item is somewhat coveted despite them being subpar to me, so I could have gotten robbed for them instead of getting $610 in person.

Or I could have possibly had to deal with haggling with a buyer trying to talk me into lowering the price or him claiming he was short on the agreed amount in the hope that I would relent out of desperation to sell and not wanting to carry it back home.

Although it sucks to get jacked in general, I would rather get jacked and pimped with fees from GOAT with a sale than possibly get jacked in person and incur a total loss.
