the thread about nothing...

never was a solid Kings fan but I loved that 2002 Kings Team. without the corruption, there was no doubt in my mind that they are really going to be NBA Champs. they were just amazing as a team and beautiful to watch which made me fall in love with them even if I was a Bulls fan. even if the odds were stacked against them with the fix, they fought like hell and made it a close series. no offense to the Lakers but that 2002 title has a major asterisk on it. Stern and Donaghy can "F" themselves.

I can still remember Divac, Pollard and FunderBurke getting into foul trouble in a matter of 2 minutes in total while guarding Shaq which was unspeakable. then the non-calls. Bibby and CWebb during that playoff run were automatic and can't miss.
Agreed- that '02 Kings team were legit as hell man & were giving the league work! They were super entertaining to watch with Bibby & how he played the passing lanes, Peja with the killer 3's, CWebb dominating the post- that squad had it all.

I strongly believe & agree they would've been the champs that year. Them vs NJ, NJ just wasn't deep enough & couldn't match the Kings starting 5. Doug Christie was great too & like you said EVEN with the nonsense they took that series to 6 games. They were resilient as hell.

As a Lakers fan of that sweet Shaq/Kobe era I too admit there is a huge asterisk next to that '02 title...the players know it, the league knows it & the fans know it.

Lakers were NBA's darlings & big $ makers with obv a HUGE market being from LA. It's a shame to see & know as a fan that this crap happened. Stern was a real POS man, crooked & twisted to the core.

Divac got into foul trouble under 2 mins & Pollard literally as he checked in under a minute of gamelplay already had 3 fouls  it's crazy. And yes, CWebb & Bibby were a great duo. Sad they never got a chip.

That doc got taken down. Not sure if it was YT or the channel owner. Man, he went into depth in each part. The Lakers were the darlings of the NBA at that time. They didn’t want a Sac vs NJ finals matchup.
I had no idea they took it down. I think it was called "The Greatest Tragedy in Sports History" or something. YT be patrolling hard on some genres, lol.

Yes! That's what I remember- how he broke down every call & whistle & analyzed & showed how it was not a foul + refs reactions throughout the game. Sac vs NJ match up would be entertaining.

Kings had a run & gun high octane offense style & NJ with Kidd running point was the forerunner to Lob City in a way & KMart had hops for days, lol. Man, just thinking about it makes me wonder how entertaining of a series it may have been. I would take the Kings in 6.

One of my coworkers (some higher up position, not at the executive level but not far off) is tripping
I work as a software tester at an HR software company and discovered an exploit today that allowed me to log in on anyone's account, even the system administrator, without needing a password. The boss gathered everyone around as I demonstrated it because he was impressed and kinda baffled. That particular coworker then later explicitly asked me during lunch infront of everyone if I could "hack into her ex-husband's emails, finances, ..." and offered to pay me for it while she's in a court case fighting over alimony and believes he's hiding income.
Asking that at the lunch table, with our boss there, is crazy.

Unsure how to respond, I answered "Eh I think you're overestimating my skills by quite a bit" and instead of backing down she just followed up with "well do you happen to know anyone? I know you probably have some contacts"

that's just too much and I believe that is illegal without any court order.
