That time of year for company holiday parties. Is your company doing anything?

Just started and don't really know many people, but I cannot pass up free booze and food.

We already had a party at my real job. Unlimited chicken, ribs and beer. people were wilding.

My winter job is government and lame so no.

I’m glad i don’t have to go to a holiday party. I don’t enjoy conversating with a bunch of people i don’t know very well (in person). End up just talking to the people on my team anyways. Wish they’d just give us budget to throw smaller team get together instead. If we’re doing a company outing send us to Disneyland lol the eating and chit chat talking life is not for me.

My new company forgos the parties for a grip of 2 hour early releases, and paid time off. For example in addition to having whatever holiday it is we get the day before and the day after off paid. Say the holiday falls on thursday. We get off early Tuesday, off Wednesday, off the Thursday holiday, off Friday.
