I *profanity* hate these questions for 2 reasons. They are presented as "Well I just care about your day" but the person asking doesn't actually shiv a git about your day, as evidenced as soon as you start answering.

"Oh, so that intern that's usually late, they were actually a few minutes early, and they brought..."

And the person asking has already mentally left the conversation.

That's reason 1.
Reason 2: What if work sucked? What if school was grueling? It sucked but it's over now and I want to move on with my day, not sit here and talk about it for a few more minutes.

I'm reason number 2 all day, but I know that's a me thing. Work didn't even have to suck, but I don't want to relive it. It's over and done with. I'm here no.

In general, I just prefer not to talk. But I realize that makes me the ******* more often than not.

I mostly do the same. Quite a few times, though, I've pulled something like this:
- me: "so then this purple goat hands me 3 new cases and says they need to be done by 5. And I'm like 'What? It's 4:15!' But they insisted on 5."
- other person: "Daaaang, just 45 minutes? That's not fair."

you know what always bothered me about them too
their uniforms

they have a more royal shade of blue in their jerseys
but then the helmet blue is a navy blue

then the pants
theyre a metalic, greenish tint(?), silver
but then the helmets are straight silver

I cant unsee it, it feels sloppy to me, all these different shades
but I get it
it is iconic

I did rocket science today NT.

I had no one teaching me how to fix stuff growing up + never lived in a house + parents were immigrants who yelled when things broke.

Got my own house now and love the idea of fixing things. Still feel extremely overwhelmed and a solid sense of fear of creating irreparable damage but trying here and there as stuff comes up.

Thus the it feels like rocket science (to me). I switched out an outlet today. A half hot one at that for anyone that understands this stuff. And it worked. I legit felt like Tony Stark when he builds the suit in a cave.
