The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

I've been considering an Explorer myself. The older 114270 model.

Love the 114270's subtlety.

Do ADs usually offer discounts on IWCs?
I’ve read that boutiques won’t but ADs will. I didn’t even ask at the boutique, there’s a grey dealer closer to me that has a new full set 20% off msrp so just gonna cop there.

I’m seriously considering that 41 Mojave chronograph, don’t think I’ll get a discount on that model

Yeah I’ve posted about the IWC discount a few times in here - will be no issue, let me know if I can help!

pretty sure they’re under retail via greys right now, so not sure why they wouldn’t discount if you tried. If not just go grey.

one more, last one for a while (i swear)

i was already interested in the first 40mm Christopher Ward released but was iffy of the size so when they announced the 36mm version it definitely piqued my interest and in the glacier blue dial, i was sold

this one is a more expensive prx but its definitely worth it

the finish and quality is a notch above, the steel used feels more solid and hefty and its a no date so its a huge plus

this pic has no filter, it just looks gorgeous

it also looks bigger than the 35mm prx but for the better (at least for my wrist)

not really trying to justify the purchase further but it fulfill the need/want of an integrated bracelet in th elight blue dial like the obvious AP and

the $8k zenith

Nearly a year on, how you liking the 36mm Twelve?

I tried on both the 36mm and the 40mm at a watch show a couple of months ago, and it’s a watch that hasn’t left my mind since. I think I lean towards the 40mm, but would probably prefer a 38mm more than anything.

I been convinced that cw is all astroturfed and paid yt reviews so interesting to see this. Curious to hear nt’ers authentic thoughts on them.

Edit: my new mark xx

i have enjoyed wearing the 12.36, for the price, its really is made and designed well

my experience is coming from a guy who has about 12 watches in rotation

i have 3 PRX and i pick up the CW way more, i dont think ive even worn any PRX in 6 months while i am tempted to grab the 12 at least once a week

its hard to describe a comparison but the CW just feels more solid and the bracelet feels more comfortable while the automatic movement feels more satisfying to wind then again it is close to double the price so…

ive handled the zenith skyline 36 and thats an $8500 watch and ive lost interest on it since ive gotten the twelve, ive even brought it to the AD to compare both hand in hand, not sure my SA was the happiest with that move

id probably still want an APRO and/or Overseas because those are a few notches above but it should be at $25k+ but even then, this has kind of gotten my mind off of those and it also helps that i kind of prefer the execution on da12 without the date (they dont want to give us either of those two without a date for some reason)

so overall for $1200-$1300, it worth it and the ice blue dial works for the summer best and getting the darker blue might be more versatile

i dont even hate kevin hart but this is just the dumbest, rich person sh*t say

just say you like expensive, extravagant things and move on

you're not "buying" time, if anything you're wasting time by making dumb explanations like these

Shannon Sharpe said this same bs. It's like bruh come on, it's okay to like nice timepieces and also be in a place to be financially able to afford them.
