Sorry for the late reply, haven't checked out the thread in a while.

Two factors, I think price could be better for old new old stock. The second factor though is how hard is it to find that particular watch again. If you like it from theget go before the discount then I say go for it, if you are just more attracted because of the price then think about it a bit more. With that said, I am not sure how it's stock is right now.

Any opinions on the best digital watch?

Or any watches whose whole face is digital like all of the Android Wear/ Apple Watch?
I like how smartwatches look but honestly would only use it to tell time.

I know theres similar styles in cheaper brands, but I keep thinking about this Omega Planet Ocean Seamaster. Should I expect this watch to last as long as I do? Went to go pick up that brightling i posted earlier for 1700. get to the shop , he goes actually i cant do 1700, we will do 2300 or im not taking it out of the case for you again, so i left. Comes by my work the next day and tells me to stop being cheap and buy the watch. I am in shock right now

From experience, sometimes alternatives just won't do. You will eventually go back to the original watch you fell in love with.

You can get decent discounts on Omegas so if I were to give a suggestion, save up and go for the one you love.

Now if you really want an alternative, there are plenty of divers out there from Tag Heuer, Oris and maybe even the Tudor Pelagos.

If you love the watch and it is still working, that is definitely a good route to go too.

Plenty of nato straps out there that are cheap and reliable and would actually go really well with that type of watch.

Just asked, and no my local isn't very receptive to discounts no matter how often I go in there. I had to travel a bit
