Good everyday/starter watch under $5-7K? Pre loved. Stainless steel.

Need something that’s appropriate for work/client meetings but also something that can work casually on weekends.

214270 - you can find one for 5k and it’s perfect between a suit or Jean and Tee.
as someone who owns many brands and watches, if I have to choose one daily it’s the explorer

folks are going to say a sub 14060 which works but the explorer does a better job of fitting that balance
If you want more dressier then a 116000 silver dial. Can find those between 3.5-4.

Stretch that $7k to $7,500 or $8k and get a 114060 (ceramic no-date Submariner).

Literally the perfect watch (imo).

Banking. More than half of the bankers I see are wearing Apple watches now. I’m seeing less and less Rolexes these days except for the older folks but I still see younger bankers with nice watches

Get a Speedy Professional with exhibition case back and swap the strap to a nice brown leather to make it both work and weekend appropriate. Watch is a nice conversation starter and if you take it off, the case back is just nice to stare at.

With the new GMTs switching to the jubilee band do you think the osyters will go up or down? I was planning on getting a oyster band GMT soon.

I don't think the adoption of the jubilee bracelet across the gmt range has a bearing on whether the price will go up or down. I think the increase in the price of sports rolex may see an increase in the price of parts that go with them though.

Great suggestion. I was actually looking at the Speedmaster Pro but my wrist is small so I was worried about it looking too damn big.
