The Arsenal 4-0 to 4-4 collapse in 20 minutes is so unbelievable that Interpol are getting involved and are launching an inquiry to find out whether the match was fixed.

Bendtner confidence off the scale

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has scored highly in 'self-perceived competence' after Arsenal's sport psychologist Jacques Crevoisier revealed that the Danish striker's mark was off the scale.

Bendtner has made several comments in the media over the years highlighting his belief in himself and many have suggested that his confidence borders on arrogance. However, Arsenal use psychological tests to determine their players' mental abilities in relation to their footballing abilities and the striker is certainly not lacking in one area.

"One of the categories is called 'self perceived competence,' i.e. how good the player himself thinks he is,'' Crevoisier told Swedish magazine Offside. ''On a scale up to 9, Bendtner got 10! We have never seen that before. Pat Rice [Arsenal's assistant manager] was sitting next to me and couldn't stop laughing.

"When Bendtner misses a chance, he is always genuinely convinced that it wasn't his fault. You might say that's a problem, and to a certain degree it can be. But you can also view it as this guy has a remarkably ability to come back after set-backs."

The test is made-up of 117 questions designed to test players' self-belief, concentration levels and determination and is overseen by Crevoisier, who specialises in working with young French players at France's Clairefontaine academy as well as the Gunners' stars.

I would rather him be overconfident than unsure of himself I guess. No surprise he tested off the charts on that.

Reminds me of that time when could have scored 5-6 goals but missed all those chances. Lol
I also saw another article that was about Bendt comparing their salaries to those of Hollywood actors, but I'll let you guys google that.  I've talked enough about the Gooners this week.

I think the way people see the CR7 / Messi debate is a little unfair. Real is !%@+ as far as spraying the ball around and creating chances when you compare them to the elite teams. One pass make a run through the middle, blast the ball over the top..they don't play the game the right way IMO I'm sorry. People tend to forget how CR7 played while he was at ManU when they played FOOTBALL, not saying that other clubs don't, but the stuff they were doing was beautiful. Him, Rooney, Tevez, Evra, Park played some beautiful stuff as far as knowing where the other would be / make the run, 1 touch counter attacks (CL 2nd leg @ the Emirates)

When I watch Real I feel like I see them lacking a certain team aspect of the game. Don't get me wrong they have the best individual talent of any team in Europe probably but they lack a certain team mentality. I know it's a *+##!% counter argument but CR7 has to shoulder MUCH more of the load at Real than Messi does at Barca IMO.
I think it's about Real's culture, individualism. It's always been like that. One of the reasons they can't beat or have a hard time beating harder teams. They lack chemistry within the team. Both a good and bad thing.
I agree with both of you guys.  But Ronaldo shoulders a lot of the load because they don't have an iniesta or a xavi.  I think Andres Iniesta is the best player in the world.  Messi is incredible but that center midfield runs the team.  Messi gets a lot of credit but i don't think Iniesta gets enough.  But when you say you feel like Real lack a certain team aspect you are correct.  I think it will be helped once Kaka gets back into form and is 100% healthy though.

Some good news from Twitter - So Swiss FA say JD back in 1 week, and it's not even an Arsenal week, it's a Swiss week, which will be exactly seven days. No more, no less

Swiss FA Doctor confirms Djourou only suffered a "painful bruise" on his knee.

Will keep an eye for an article but these guys usually know their stuff.

Also I'm not shocked at Bendtner's results, honestly I like that hes super confident I wish it would rub off on Chamakh's shared to shoot striker self.

Great news on DJ too I was surprised that arsenal.com didn't update anything about his injury yet but maybe its Wenger being safe so he too gets rest of the international break.
