no more summer signings for united according to sir alex...

...ehh im not mad tho, i can understand why..i also think our team is quite solid already, offensively teams will have a hand full to deal with given our talent up front and on the wings, our defense is looking very

convincing too (seems evra is back in form)...i have faith that the middle of the pitch will hold up, we have ando (who looks the part) park, carrick, fletcher, giggs, cleverley etc.

once again our squad list isnt as impressive as the likes of barca or real, but i think we'll have a season similar to last and pull through using the depth of quality we have and a lot of team valued play

Im dying to know what the hell Mr X is for AC Milan. Galliani said he's physical and fits their requirements. Im guessing it could be Bastian Schewdffjsdjfldkfj, Marek Hamisk, Montolivo or Ganso.
Schweinsteiger will NOT leave Bayern.
It seems like its pretty hard to get quality players especially the young ones to leave Germany.  There is sooo much talent in the Bundesliga and on the German NT and it seems like teams would love to bring them to their teams (and throw huge sums of money to the player and their clubs) but it seems that there is little desire for German player to want move abroad.  As a Bundesliga/Schalke follower do you believe this is to be true?

Depends on the player and the club he is currently playing.Sahin was at Dortmund a star but they didn't offered him obviously not much money
and the chance to win the CL with Real Madrid is much higher.Same with Özil.
Schweinsteiger is a special case.He was always a Bayern supporter, he has the chance to be succesful with Bayern in the CL and he is one of
the best paid players in Germany.
It might sound cocky but I guess the Bundesliga is very attractive. If you play for Bayern you've a chance to win the CL.
Games are most times sold out.Dortmund has after Barca the highest attendance in Europe (77.000).Bayern and Schalke selling always more than 60.000 tickets.
Competition among the first 10 places is tough. And usually also an attractive point from players view, some clubs paying not less than spanish and italian clubs.

"...but it seems that there is little desire for German player to want move abroad."

I guess thats not wrong. But only as long as there is not a top club with chances in the CL and a fantastic salary.

Argentina fires Batista, which we all figured was coming. (Bring back Maradona. He's proven he can achieve similar failures and be much more entertaining in the process.)

They're also planning to combine the top 2 divisions of their domestic league for 2012-2013, creating a 38 team super-league.

I guess that's one way to be certain River Plate secures promotion.

Villa needs someone to get Bent the ball as he can't create for himself all that well, and
N'Zogbia can also be a huge goal threat.
More well rounded, how so?
Way more of a goal threat than Downing, half the price, can cover at full back, provides just
as good of service. Also feel N'Zogbia did more at Wigan with way less help than what Downing
did at Villa. Also Downing to me is way more limited as to what he can do. Especially when you
compare that N'Zogbia was bought for mere £10.5 compared to £20 Million
I'm going to have to disagree. Downing was top 3 in completing crosses last year. He scored 8 goals last year and N'Zogbia scored 10, not that much of a difference. Not to mention N'Zogbia is terrible 1 v 1. He got dispossesed more than any other player in England. 91 times more than any other player. He's inconsistent and his attitude has been a question. The only thing I can agree on is that they needed a player to fill the void but I don't see how he's more well-rounded than Downing. But I do agree with you that it's a good deal for 10 million.

assist man, but beyond statistics, N'Zogbia is basically Wigans best player week-in

Downing has previously had the help of Ashley Young on the opposite wing or having
Albrighton on the opposite wing. Along with having Gabby, Carew, and Bent up top
at various times. Downing did not ever strike anyone as being the best player at Villa
week-in, week-out

Downing is your typical British hype, if N'Zogbia was an English international
he'd be worth £25 million easy by todays prices.

The only argument against N'Zogbia is why havent larger clubs already been
in for him in the past few seasons, well thats been answered by Aston Villa
who hasn't been very successful in the past few years and doesn't have a cash
daddy to help them, but are considered a relatively large club. Can't believe they
hired McLeish to manage them, as he will not play an attacking brand of football.

Nice to find some people making legitimate arguments about soccer on here
