I usually use stage name but if others want to use his regular name, it's just like any other person, athlete or celebrity

It is a bit strange. I can't think of another entertainer with an alias with so many fans that refer to them by their government.

But since it's his Instagram...I sort of get it

A combination of this and the simple logic of "Abel" being shorter than "The Weeknd" are the reasons I usually call son by his name.

Calling DMX by Earl would be a little different in my eyes because that's an extra letter; giving yourself extra work for no reason
