Ben’s issue is he was anointed as next up behind LeBron and even though he hasn’t lived up to THAT billing he still became the #1 pick, was ROY, an All-Star by his second year playing, has won 50+ games both of his seasons, considered one of the few teams with a shot at the championship, already received and accepted his max contract, has endorsements all over the place and he’s the face of the sport of basketball for an entire country. Extremely few players have done all of that within their first three years of playing in the NBA. So in his head he probably thinks he’s too good to try so hard at improving when what he’s done in his career so far has already worked out so well. But LeBron or somebody he highly respects in that echelon needs to tell him that if he has any desire at all to be more than just a highly paid All-Star level talent then he needs to immediately take matters into his own hands and shoot the ******* ball or else this is the ceiling of him as this style of a player. And if he doesn’t...then his head coach who is also the head coach of his own country’s national team is going to be out of a job and/or he’s going to find himself traded to somewhere he may not want to play at all since he has no leverage considering he just signed his max extension.
