If you really stop to think about how KP is actually rated, he’s not overrated at all. Is anyone saying he’s a top player in the league? I haven’t seen that. He’s rated as a often injured, but talented player. He is that.

I'm sure there are numbers that show Gobert is mediocre defensively too, yet he won it back to back. Numbers dont tell the full story all the time. Alot matters who is on the floor with you too and that's where every advanced stat gets lost.
If you're able to help on the block, switch on guards, block shots from the weak side, and guard the post 1 on 1 then you are more than capable as a defender.
While chucking 3s and scoring 20+, yea I'll take that player 9/10 times.

Well, that’s a tough question because not all bigs have the same role. Is Gobert a better player than KAT? Probably not. Is he more impactful for winning? Probably yes.
