The bubble is the main issue.

If covid went away today and play could resume as normal the league and the players would figure out a way to use the broadcasts of the games to get across whatever message they felt appropriate for the BLM movement.

Most vocal when it comes to social change out of the major sports, Im sure they can find a way to keep doing it, i think issue is owners have yet to comeout and say they care, nor have they ever, we all know majority of them don’t care and more than likely have maga views

I have a hunch as to what Pat Bev is trying to do there, and if he is trying to what I think he is... then that’s kinda lame imo.

Sounds like Pat Bev is saying the only person that can get the season cancelled is Lebbywinks.

He's basically put the whole thing on Lebby's shoulders.

Or at least that's one interpretation.

You could also infer that Pat Bev is implying that it doesn't matter what anyone says because Lebby has already decided they are all going to be playing.

Idk it kinda screams “hey we tried to take a stand but Bron stopped us” lol idk how to articulate it but it feels like he’s kinda throwing Bron under the bus or making it seem like Bron is some sort of sellout.
I might be wrong though.

That’s how I read it.

So that would seem to mean Bev sees it as an all or nothing situation since the NBA said individual players who chose not to go to Orlando won’t be penalized in any way. Guess Bev thinks nobody will actually do that if the league as a whole goes forward.
 
Pat saying what a lot of us think. Guys aren't given equal voice or respect. Bron has a ton of pull. If he says this is bigger than basketball, it's bigger. If Spencer Dinwiddle says it's bigger, he's getting left on 'read'.


I get it, Bron is a much bigger star and generates much bigger bucks.. but I also get why guys say it's unfair. And they know Bron puts money above a lot. Seen with his words regarding Daryl Morey showing support for Hong Kong, and Bron basically saying shut up and manage.

O ok..I read it as him saying Bron got so much clout that whatever he says goes for the rest of the players, would help if Bev could clarify tho since the tweet was kinda confusing and all mixed up ...I think he’s just talking bout on the court tho
 
Pat Bev could also be cool with either option of playing or sitting out and is just saying Bron has the most power regarding the ultimate decision

I don’t disagree.

But what I was actually getting at is that I don’t think NBA media guys can be totally objective about a return to play because they want to start being able to start doing their jobs normally again, which I completely understand.
 
Bron has done more than pretty much anyone in the league tho
Think Pat wording is lame basically saying Bron cares more about ball than lives
