Rough Timeline here
  1. June 29, 2020 - Report: NBA to allow players to replace names on jerseys with social-justice statements
  2. July 3, 2020 - NBA, NBPA reportedly approve social justice messages on jerseys
  3. July 14, 2020 - The social justice messages on the back of NBA jerseys will be worn for the first four days of the seeding round. After Aug. 2, players may continue or go back to their last name.

This quickly got itself placed in the category of might as well have not done anything. Even more props to LeBron for not participating in this sham.

Stringer snitched on himself to get his name in the headlines.

“Hello. Is this hotel security?”

“Yes, sir. How can we help you?”

“I want to report that there’s annoying noise coming from room 603. Sounds like someone is dribbling a basketball.”

“That’s the room you’re calling from, Sir.”

Once I read that Jimmy said he removed the rearview mirror in his car as a symbol to never look back, I knew never to take any Jimmy Butler story seriously ever again.

That's one of my favorite NBA player fables :lol

did a feature on Butler for Chicago Magazine, and in it, the former Marquette standout revealed an interesting motivational technique:
Still, he loathes reliving the past—so much so that he has removed the rearview mirror on his car (yes, really) as a symbolic reminder to never look back. His coach at Marquette University, Buzz Williams, says Butler was so sensitive about his upbringing that he swore Williams to secrecy while playing for him.

Kareem has had it with your fake woke culture:

When reading the dark squishy entrails of popular culture, meh-rage in the face of sustained prejudice is an indisputable sign of the coming Apatholypse: apathy to all forms of social justice. After all, if it’s OK to discriminate against one group of people by hauling out cultural stereotypes without much pushback, it must be OK to do the same to others. Illogic begets illogic.

I will always listen to what Kareem has to say. I think he’s genius-level intelligent and tries to be objective in any subject he approaches. He doesn’t say things just to say things.

Your quarterly Ben Simmons 3 pt make

In the past 20 years or so, has there been any player attribute/skill that has been mocked and discussed as much as Ben Simmons shooting?

Fultz breakdown comes to mind but that doesn't get as much spotlight now that he's in Orlando. Closest thing I can think of is Shaq's FT's which I imagine he would get killed even more for in the social media era.
