" So-and-so has 1, but if Curry wasn't injured and if they had another star, then they would have 3 just like this other guy... but this other guy's 3 is worth just as much as Magic's 5, because if you factor in Magic's HOF teammates... then the guy who had 1 would really have 4... which is actually more than Lebron, and Lebron wouldn't even have 3 if this other team was at full strength... so technically his 3 only counts for 1... but it also counts for more than 3 if you factor in the TV deals the NBA had during his 8 Finals run... which this totally DIFFERENT guy could have done even though he's never even been in the Finals, but he could have went to 8 straight if Trump had never won."

I thought the NBA intelligencia was ready to crown Durant the undisputed best player in the league after that series coupled with the previous two seasons. Then the injuries against the Rockets and Raptors happened.

the media knows but they still have to ask
I hate that they have to ask just so they can get a generic quote on record. It's all they're looking for, but it is funny when it blows up in their face.
Finals press conferences are the worst because they are overrun with foreign press. They ask questions that sound like they were submitted by six year olds and pulled out of a hat. How some of these people get credentials, I will never know.

I'll never forget when he came to Seattle for Jamal's Pro-Am. When he walked onto the court and just started launching shots from near mid-court, my first thought was "how does anyone guard this guy?" He looked like a different species.
