What do you think they have up their sleeve by this week?

What they have provided so far is lackluster. What hints do we have to think something more substantial is coming?
I mean I agree that it’ll be weak as hell if that’s all that happens, but the teams down there just got through the quarantine stuff. My assumption would be that’s the first step/hurdle everybody was trying to get though. Maybe, just maybe, it would be worth waiting to fully judge everything at least until games and whatnot start?

I get it if you aren’t the wait and see type though.

The League is playing everything by ear and developing things as they go. Up until seeding games start, and maybe even beyond, I expect to hear new details about everything from bubble life rules/restrictions to the platform for social justice and to safety and gameplay. The NBPA and NBA seem to be figuring it out together which is reassuring.

Let’s be honest, some form of a plan should’ve been discussed already. If t shirts are being discussed days before the games resume, it kinda means they went with no plan in mind. Just a lets go and make things up as we go mentality. The thing Dwight and Avery Bradley argues against.

For a season that is scheduled to end at the latest on Oct. 13, which is roughly 2 months long, you really wanna see them utilize every game to highlight social injustice, IF that’s their real purpose. We say we hope over time things increase, however time really isn’t on their side, especially when COVID is booming and there is a great possibility the season might get cut short again.

The more teams in the bubble, the more players have this platform. Teams cut down from 22 to 16 in just 2 weeks when play resumes.

No Sh*t sherlock. What you expect when the city relies on tourism and gambling as the main source of income
It is not only that.

Actually Casino make more money off of non-gaming revenue than they do gaming revenue. It has been that way for a little while now. If anything, it is the people that come for pools parties in the summer that be acting up the most from my experience. Secondly, being a tourist area doesn't guarantee somewhere is gonna be a **** show, it's who it attracts. People still come to Vegas on some "what happens here stays here". So they act up thinking there should not be any consequences.

The buffoonery is Vegas is not confined to the Strip or downtown. Locals be wildin too. Last time I was on the Eastside, a meth head challenged me to a break dancing dance battle for $6.75. This was actually a nice change of pace from being challenged to a fight. (I realized this place was getting to me because for a second I consider taking him up on the offer because ole boy was talking mad **** and I wanted to shut him up. I decided against it though, since I have self respect)

A short time ago our line-up of local celebs include: OJ Simpson, Welven Da Great, Orlando Brown, Riff Raff , and Ronnie from the Jersey Shore. So yeah, it is not only the craps tables that brings in the buffoons.

On a more serious note:

Not only that, Las Vegas is very diverse and transplants from Cali has turned Nevada is turning into a blue state. White people in Vegas are having a hard time adjusting to this. Exurbs of Vegas are filled with heavily armed Trump supporters. Remember Cliven Bundy, the loony racist whose supporters had a stand-off with the Feds? That happened in the same county Vegas is in. Some of his supporters shot up a Walmart in Vegas soon after. The dude that shot up the strip was from one of those exurbs.

Third, Clark County which Vegas is in has some of the worst schools in the country. Like even in the rich suburbs there is overcrowding. I used to volunteer tutor and schools in poorer areas completely fail these kids. Kids graduating without knowing **** I knew in 6th grade. Basic math, health, english, kids don't know it. We also have a major drug and homelessness problem.

I love some of the people I have met there. I am appreciative this place help me turn my life around. But this place is buffoonery central, and it goes beyond the strip.

B Sox B Sox

In an IDEAL world/setting, what is the best case scenario when it comes to continuing the fight while the NBA players are in the Bubble.

What does using the "bigger platform" look like while they are there.

Ideally speaking.

I come in Peace.

As I’ve said before, I think games being played gives a bigger platform to the guys that aren’t household names.

My hope is that more things like the Bron/Ice Tray voting thing can be done.

In general, I think the players are going to be doing things in interviews similar to what we saw from Jerami Grant. I think more players are going to be donating their paychecks to different causes. While they may not be out at protests, I do think players are going to be active.
