exactly. there's nothing left for them to prove in the regular season, and i don't think home court is that huge for a team like them. they beat okc when they had home court, won in boston in a must win game 6 last year, took care of business in san antonio and left with a win to send the series back to miami.I definitely agree with taking the more "popovich" approach and emphasizing rest on our team. We could still end up a top 3 seed, and we are a pretty good road team. Health, especially for Wade because of his knee, is critical if the Heat want to win another one. LeBron actually looked gassed out too. I guess that 27 game win streak really took a toll on them.
watching the 08-10 lakers which slightly remind me of these heat in terms of situations. lose in 08/ lose in 11 both in 6, win in 09/win in 12 both in 5, win in 10/win in 13 both in 7 with both teams coming back down 3-2. that 2010-11 laker team was worn out and inconsistent, granted this heat team is younger so i doubt the fatigue will be as much of an issue but it will be there. barring injuries, if they pace themselves miami has a damn good chance to make it back to the finals next season.
