I don't know how it all broke down if different tribes turned into races or not. How many races are there any way?

Division has existed as long as humans have. I am not debating that.
Race being implemented in the division is a "white" invention meaning that yes Whites invented race

You see the general ignorance that exists on the subject of race...how can we progress as human beingd if we don't even know why or how we classifyourselves into different groups.
The word "tribe" has also been used as a tool of white superiorty BTW. A true tribe "refer to societies organized largely on the basis ofkinship, especially corporate descent groups". Such as tribes of Isreal.
Again with European imperialism and conquest a legitimate civilization and ethnicity, such as the Zulu (millions strong) were relegated to the status of"tribes". Tribal and racial conflicts began devloping amongst groups, which previously shared a unified identity.

Like I said earlier, the idea/concept of race was always prevalent.
Maybe the Europeans perfected the idea of race...
But do you HONESTLY believe no one thought of the same concepts of race that we believe in today prior to European influence?

People are trying to show that the concept of race and racism is inherently European and that is a fact.
Your life has been inextricably shaped by the classification of you being "white"...you are quick to accept all of the privilege but none of thenegative connotation, including the invention of race.
I'm not saying that you should walk around sullen and guilty for something that people who were probably unrelated to you did centuries ago....but youchoose to identify yourself with these classifications...you may show pride in the accomplishments of fellow Americans, of our systems of democracy orlaw...you will share in the residual identity and remembrance of all things positive....but run away from anything negative like the plague.
That is the basis of White supremacy and racism and that is exactly what is going on in this thread.
If everyone can share the blame for racism....then your "race" gets to remain above the fray and you can disassociate yourself from theconversation because "you're not racist".

Race is a false science that was developed and spread by Europeans.
People did not view the world or each other in that light prior to Europeans involvement.
People didn't fight or hate each other because their eye color was different, their hair texture was different of their skin color was different...theyfought because they needed to secure territory or resources.

Europeans created the term "race", and SOME of the concepts that go with it.
But most of the concepts of race? Was prevalent before European imperalism.
People, RACE is a word...
Thats all it is...
The concepts that are associated with race were prevalent long before European imperalism and colonizations.
Ancient civilizations had some very similiar concepts.
