I was lucky enough to have seen those guys play when Madrid visited HK during the summer of 2003.  It was incredible.

I'm glad Conte actually wants to see what the youngsters are capable of before diving into the transfer market. Interested to see what he does with Musonda and Kennedy

Agreed

I like the fact that Conte wants to evaluate youngsters with his own eyes

I read that Roma were in talks with Conte last week on taking Musonda on for loan

I don't know much about FIFA rules but I've been told that Conte tries not to play Kenedy and Musonda this month. Otherwise, it could prevent Chelsea from sending those guys on loans this month

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi could join Swansea on loan as part of a deal for striker Fernando Llorente.

I support this move if it happened. Batsy's ball control is so terrible. He needs a lot of work on his ball control and patience. He ran everywhere on the pitch so hard even though he scored a goal yesterday. He impressed Conte in a wrong way

Looking at BVB depth at MF, why does he think he'll get consistent minutes with them?

BVB central midfield depth doesn't come close to rivaling Arsenal's imo. Seems like a much more reasonable short term path to the first team to me.

Zelalem is a really really good player right now. A couple of months ago I said that if Zelalem never breaks through at Arsenal, it just means that there's a club somewhere else in the world who will receive a player with truly world class technical ability and vision.

Wenger has often said that the challenges Zelalem currently face have to do with physical maturity. EPL isn't known for patiently bringing along youngsters when they're not already there in all facets of the game. BVB on the other hand excel at it.

I actually think BVB is the perfect fit for Zelalem. Like tailor made. BVB need help at the position, specifically they need a possession oriented to CM to take some of the load off of Weigl and help link the defense and attack.

I imagine Zelalem's is a well known commodity in Germany due to his involvement with German youth national teams. I'd bet every club in the Bundesliga is familiar with his player profile - if the BVB interest is real, bet they know his skill set and have a concrete plan for him.

I saw us achieve a 1:1 draw at a CL group match in 2003 against them:

Casillas - Michel Salgado, Helguera, Pavon, Roberto Carlos - Flavio Conceicao, Makelele - Figo, Raul, Zidane - Ronaldo

Most likely the best squad I ever saw play live - although I was probably even more impressed by seeing Cantona's Manchester United back in the day.

Is he already making excuses for only winning the Community Shield and maybe the FA Cup this season?

Like clockwork :lol :rolleyes

He's probably alluding to the fact that United is the only English club still competing on 4 different fronts this season and how he wants to try to win each

He didn't really take cup comps lightly at Chelsea either so it's nothing new

I mean Mourinho repeatedly bashes Wenger for only winning Community Shields and FA Cups, so I don't understand how it's suddenly "every trophy counts" all of a sudden

he's bashed him for not winning the league like literally everyone else does :lol,he has room to talk in that regard too

I got the timing wrong; my mistake. Dude called Wenger a specialist in failure for not winning silverware a few months before Arsenal won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2014 (both of which were mocked, but unsurprisingly Man United fans consider them to be prestigious trophies this year)

Swear we're going in circles :lol, dude was mocked because he went a decade at a huge club without winning anything :lol, not for actually winning damn. Everyone made fun of that, not just United fans

Not true.

Mourinho said: "If he is right and I am afraid of failure it is because I didn't fail many times. Eight years without silverware, that's failure."

Under Wenger, Arsenal have not won a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup.

"He's a specialist in failure," continued Mourinho. "If I do that in Chelsea, eight years, I leave and don't come back."

Not over a decade.

Also, Arsenal won the FA cup and Community Shield a few months after Mourinho made this comment. I accidentally thought Mourinho made his comment after the fact.

No, just pointing out that it wasn't really over a decade and was eight years. Yes, I'm being an @#$ out of boredom :lol

I just don't like Mourinho on top of that. I used to find him highly entertaining, but during the last few years he's been sounding more like a senile old man than the master troll he used to be. The old Mourinho wouldn't have given a @#$@ about FA Cups or Community Shields

:rollin

Fine, probably 9 years since it was in 2014 :lol

Just to clear up,never said anything about any community shield :lol. That's basically a preseason match, nothing "prestigious" about it besides being a fancy/nice way to start the year :lol
