I think jail time is a step too far for this type of crime. Community service and a fine would be appropriate in my opinion.

long *** jail time wouldn't be appropriate. people forget its cost mad bread to jail people, and we jail a huge portion of our country relative to other places so I'm not with excessive jailing as a solution. but i'm not sure im against jailing for something like this at all. either way, his scheme was poorly executed, and quickly backfired. he's done either way. public image and reputation is trash now.
