Under Armour?

Will Barton, Patty Mills & Mo Bamba are all rockin the Cerise / Blackout Purple Hovr Havoc 3s. There are like 8 colorways at UA now. When I first looked I think there were 3.

This colorway is the one I like the best, but I can't help but feel like the shoe is too floppy for me to buy.

I'm still waiting to see different 3zer0 IV colorways. I wish they'd put the IV up on UA. Seth's been wearing them and the gold heel tab makes them look even better.

^^^ yep, it’s another UA shoe that is solid on court but no one will pay attention because it’s UA.

The 3zer0 IV is up on UA in this colorway. So I guess they'll leave the SC logo on these and put the new logo on his actual signature models.

Non-UA shoe related, but does anyone here have the UA Sportsmask? Any thoughts?

Was gonna get it but will wait until I order another item so it gets free shipping. It's the best mask from reading reviews and the fact UA went through some R&D into making them unlike other brands.

Regarding the Havoc 3 they're ugly. I watched the video though.
The Embiid are better even though they resemble Kyrie's

I don't have shop runner. I'm still waiting for them to refund my gift card so I can buy it.

Did you order L/XL? That's what I think I need based off measurements but it wasn't precise.

Yeah, I ordered L/XL, but I just ordered M/L a few days ago. I should've ordered both sizes at once in case of anything.

thapointguy thapointguy - I'm receiving the mask on Thursday! I'll keep you and anyone else interested updated.

I'm definitely interested in how it is to run in and sweat in.
If you get out of breath, how is it, and how is it running for a few minutes.
Also what size masks you've worn and what size you ordered from UA and what the fit was like.
I got a size "L" from a charity-type buy and it was too small and pulled on your face. But I got an "L" from Target and it's perfect.

Public Enemy Public Enemy - for sure, I'm down to try that out! Quick disclaimer though: I may have measured inaccurately, but what I plan to do is to add grommets to it, or stitch a tighter fit around the ear loops.

There are mixed reviews on UA. I don't think I will buy it.

This guy bought M/L, I think L/XL might be too big

thapointguy thapointguy Public Enemy Public Enemy - I just got my mask in. I might've measured wrong, but it definitely ran loose for me and MAYBE a tad too big. I ordered L/XL thinking I was 6 1/2 from the Chart A measurements on their website, but the problem is really coming from the ear loops and the nylon used around the borders of the mask with the exception of the bottom. Because it has so much elasticity, the natural force can easily stretch out and down the mask. I was able to stitch the ear loops tighter and that helped significantly, because it reduced the elasticity on the ear loops. The part that makes me wonder now is whether the overall mask is too big. I've already preordered a M/L before the ship date changed to mid-August, so we'll see.

The breathability is legit good based on first impression simply because the mask is further from the face. The lips don't touch the mask when you talk, which is awesome. EDIT - I just did a quick set of Kirsty Godso's "hot sauce" burpees (plank knee tuck + jump knee tuck onto a burpee) and it does heat up pretty fast. However, I'm gonna go on a walk later, and so maybe I can add more thoughts on the breathability.

Overall, it's good so far, but it definitely could be better. Personally, the standard so far has been this mask on Etsy in terms of overall hold quality. This combined with the performance aspect from Under Armour's mask would really be the ideal mask.

Sorry for the double post, but quick update. For casual use, I'd say stay away. For working out (which is the main intent for the mask), it can be considerable. I went on a casual 1.5-mile walk for a break, and I was sweating half a mile in because it heated up fast. I can sweat easily, but if it's cold, it takes a bit of time. Well, it was cold and I was starting to sweat fast. Since it's synthetic, moisture doesn't absorb, so my mouth area was basically a bit sweaty and headwind did not help at all.

With that said, I'd imagine working out in it will be fine, because you'd be sweating regardless (given that you're not 'laxing during a workout).

4 new colorways of this shoe went up. They're all trash in one way or another. Either basic, or terrible. Mostly basic.

The basic:

The terrible

Just a really poor job at making the shoe have any kind of interesting details, or look quality, or anything. It's like a budget model for a budget model's budget model. Like you'd catch these on sale at Kohl's for $29.95. I'm so disappointed.

These will have to be $49 and then catch em on a 25% off $49 so the final price is something like $41 with tax. Even that feels like too much.

Edit: so basic

From the NBA thread - Steph is getting his own brand under UA like how Jordan Brand is under Nike

Point Gawd :pimp:

That's dope. That explains the different signatures. But I tell you what, if they're going to come out with Curry Brand, they need to expand greatly and have their best work come out with a bang. The 3Zer0 IVs are horrific. Embiid's signature looks to have the spawn sole (as the 3Zer0 IVs have the III's sole). UA better pull out all the stops, poach some people from Nike, whatever they have to do.
