Anyone denying purple hi's as not being a made into a hypebeast shoe is foolish. This thread alone is all the proof you need, just read. Dudes makingthreats and organizing tasks forces because the purple hi's were losing, ps'ing photos, yeah its fair to call most all of you hypocrites. Philly &b-more voting went smooth as $%^# and vote numbers stayed low, clearly nobody wwas OD'ing on any shoe. Then you get to NYC and have two shoes with 32,000votes and 3rd and 4th following with 3,000 there's nothing to even argue about, its plain as day. Hype is what people manifest, and stashes and purples areclearly THEE most vivid example. Its some shameful $^&% dudes done typed out throughout this thread.

Let me just throw this up in the e-air, but did it ever dawn on anyone that some shoes deserve the"hype" that they receive? Honestly, it's like if there is any hype to a shoe, it's automatically looked down upon. I'm not sure whosaid it first, but the "antihypebeast" is just as worse than the "hypebeast." Unless you're someone who comes out and says, "Hey,I like these shoes because they're hyped and that's all" like Kampout does, then it's sort of unfair to pass judgment on someone's opinionabout a pair of sneakers. Especially when you probably don't know the person.
Ultimately, I made fun of one self-proclaimed hypebeast and that was it. In actuality though, it waspretty much like complimenting him since he doesn't mind being such a lame.
I have always loved the Purple High AF1's since I saw them a few years back. Why do I like them? Well, I guess I have a thing for the color purple(no oprah), I dig nylon tongues, and something about a white midsole/outsole is highly appealing to me.

Well, whether it's human nature or not, doesn't mean it's right. Of course we allhave passed judgment on people we don't know at least once in our lives, but I would suggest that it's still not fair whether it's done all thetime or never happens. I don't have any idea what the intentions were for the people who went out and voted like crazy for the Purple AF1 Highs. I doknow Kamp's and that's why I made the comments I did on him. Maybe the people who voted for the Purple AF1's were doing the same, but who am I tojust make that statement?
Again, Kampout's reasons for wanting the Stash's/Futura's was lame to me for themost part. The people who wanted the Purple Highs, well I'm not exactly sure why they wanted them. I'm not saying the Stash's don't deservethe hype. Personally, I do like them and they're pretty nice, but I just happen to prefer the Purple Highs for the reasons I already stated before.
I'm not calling you a hypebeast or an antihypebeast. I don't knowyou or know what you're about, so I'm not going to make such an ignorant statement. I just don't see how you can call guys out and say they'rejust as bad as Kamp. When did anyone who was voting for the Purple High AF1's come out and say "I'm going to vote for these because I know theywill resell for a lot of money" or what have you? Maybe I missed a post where someone came out and said something along those lines, but everyone I knowwho wanted the Purple Highs wanted them because they liked the shoe, not because they were going to make some quick loot off of them.
In the end, I suppose it comes down to your personal opinion.

To answer my own post, Harmcityhunstler I really have no problem with you its cool that you defend the city that you live in, but I think that there musthave been an hint of hype for influencing the Ueno's to win. I own a pair so I fell for a bit of hype myself and yes they are a nice shoe I just think ifthey were only priced at $200 we would have a different winner.
The thing that I didn't like was you claiming purple highs were hyped up by the wdywtd thread to me that is crazy since I have been collecting AF1'sfor years and it has always been one of the most highly regarded and sought after AF1's. Then again every thread on NT helps create hype but I think yourcomment was a long way off the mark.
