USPS question

Preface: USPS ground is the worst yada yada

So, somehow it took a whole day for my package to get from the main sorting facility (Jacksonville) that's one hour away from me to my city and it didn't even get there in time today to get on the delivery truck. Status says "arrival at post office," which means it's going to be sitting there the whole day when tracking said it was supposed to be delivered on the 9th (Today).Will they ever let you pick it up in person in these scenarios?

I dunno OP. i mailed something from IN on thurs and it made it to CA by Sat. some sorting site are slower than others. as far as your question, i doubt you can pick it up unless its been sent BACK to the PO because no one was at your place to recieve
