I haven't really tested it but at one point I had a few tabs open while downloading some heavy stuff and no slow down. I was also multitasking as well.

This thing is def the fastest tablet I have used. And now that it is rooted...... It's a wrap

Those of ya with the N4 what case are you using? Been waiting for the bumper case to go back in stock
Samsung 'Galaxy Note 8.0' purportedly outed ahead of MWC reveal
We've come across the Samsung GT-N5100 and GT-N5110 a couple  of times  before in benchmarks and certification listings. We've even speculated that based on the model number and specs, they're likely candidates for Wifi and 3G versions of a new, smaller Galaxy Note tablet. Now Samsung fan siteSamMobile  claims to have uncovered details of the GT-N5100/10, which it says will come to market as the "Galaxy Note 8.0."

The site has a good track record when it comes to digging up info on unannounced Samsung products, nevertheless, keep in mind that these details haven't been officially confirmed in any way. With that out of the way, let's break down some of the purported specs --
 • Name: Galaxy Note 8.0
 • Product numbers: GT-N5100 (Wifi), GT-N5110 (Wifi/3G)
 • Battery: 4600mAh
 • Dimensions: 211.3x136.3x7.95mm
 • Weight: 330 grams
 • Screen: 8.0-inch Super Clear LCD @ 1280x800 resolution
 • Data: Quad-band EDGE, quad-band HSPA+ up to 21.1Mbps down, 5.76Mbps up (GT-N5110 only)
 • Cameras: 5MP rear, 1.3MP front
 • RAM: 2GB
 • Storage: 16/32GB options, expandable via microSD card
 • OS: Android 4.2  Jelly Bean
No CPU is reported in today's spec list, but earlier benchmarks  have suggested the device will be fitted with a 1.6GHz Exynos 4 Quad CPU, same as the Galaxy Note 2. Presumably, as it's a Galaxy Note tablet, the Note 8.0 would also include a Wacom-based "S Pen" stylus.

SamMobile  says the Note 8.0 will make its debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in late February. Last year's MWC saw Samsung unveil several new Android tablets, including the Galaxy Tab 2 line and the original Galaxy Note 10.1 design, so we wouldn't be too surprised to see such a device in Spain next month.

Anyone in the market for a possible small form factor Galaxy Note tablet? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Why get this over the nexus 7

probably the same cpu thats inside of the note 2 which is better than the pos tegra 3
double the ram
rear facing camera
slightly bigger battery

welp its been fun nexus 7 :\

For some reason for can't quote.

It'd 4.2 now but we still have a years and half updates to go

yeah but 4.2 didnt bring anything I actually needed?
user accounts :rolleyes
it actually caused more problems that fixes when it first came out which is why i stuck with smoothrom 4.1 which was based on 4.1.2 instead of upgrading to smoothrom 4.2 which is based on 4.2 for the nexus 7.

As long as sammy gets their **** correct for this note 8 i'll be good with 4.2 & as long as it sells well I should have xda to turn to if I ever feel the need to upgrade.
-------------------

Yea the price will higher and updates won't be equal.

price is the only thing that concerns me
4.1 was good enough for me :\

:{ so mad im just now finding out about the realplayer app

just downloaded it.

thanks

np, finally something with good enough lock screen controls and locked playlist support :smokin

Check out the Nillkin case on ebay. It's the one with the texture on the back. Its a slim case but it gets the job done and looks great.

For anyone with a N7 or N10 who plans on doing relatively heavy stuff I would recommend this Poetic case (Bluetooth Keyboard included)

i got the bumper with my phone....now while it looks amazing, I decided to cope a silicone case off Amazon for 3 bucks/free shipping because the bumper doesn't protect the glass back and makes the phone a little too wide to grip.

this one:

def recommend it.
