What do you mean you guys brahVicious cycle. Same thing you guys criticized apple for is happening with samsung. At the end of the day its just a phone. None of you guys do anything important on it. Havent needed a new phone in a year and a half and I still have Ios 6(iphone 5).
innovation
Unique Android Phone Sports a Second, E-Ink Display

Party in the front, business in the back.
One of the more interesting devices to be revealed at Mobile World Congress was the Yotaphone 2, an Android smartphone equipped with a second, e-ink display on the backside of the handset. The face of the device works just as any other Android phone would, but on the rear, you're presented with a 4.7-inch touch sensitive, "always on" e-ink screen that can be used to interact with calls, texts, emails, and social media.
The e-ink panel isn't only easy on the eyes for reading, but it also contributes to better battery life. Yota Devices claims that the 2,500mAh battery can power the phone for more than 50 hours when using just the e-ink display. The phone also features a Smart Power Mode, which shuts off the 5-inch, 1080p, full color AMOLED display, diverting energy to the much more efficient screen on the flip side.
While not all Android apps work with the new Yotaphone's second screen, the company did release the phone's SDK to third-party developers, opening the doors for more compatible apps.
Under the hood, the Android 4.4-powered Yotaphone 2 is equipped with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU and 2GB of RAM, which is right in line with high-end Android smartphones. An 8-megapixel camera can be found on the backside of the phone, with a 2-megapixel shooter up front.
Yota Devices has yet to officially announce availability, price, and launch information for its new Yotaphone 2. However, CNET reports that the device will be initially be sold in Russia, Europe, and the Middle East, with China and the United States expected to get the phone by the end of the year.
Vicious cycle. Same thing you guys criticized apple for is happening with samsung.
#Apple'sformulaAnd then I realized Samsung's brilliance. They have actually released a better phone than its predecessor without totally reinventing the wheel...call it the Porsche 911 effect. The Porsche 911 has had its same basic design cues since the beginning, all they do with a new generation aesthetically is slightly refresh it but underneath the skin is where the changes really happen.
Also they have managed to engineer an Dustproof and water resistant phone that can withstand being submerged for 30 minutes at depths of 3 feet and still not suffer any damage but here's the kicker...it STILL has a removable and user replaceable battery and micro sd storage. The extremely gorgeous Sony Z2 which is also water resistant cannot make that claim. The camera is also extremely capable even without the optical image stabilization feature of LG phones. It shoots 4k vid (not the first to do so but still), it has an extremely fast autofocus, has real time HDR, and can take a burst of 30 images in less than 3-4 seconds (according to Marcus). The fingerprint sensor though not as awesome as Apple's as far as the method of use is still a good idea to borrow from (read steal ) and they are even linking it to paypal to authorize purchases with it. There will be more pay apps to follow which is better than just having it linked to iTunes aal Apple.
Journalists have previewed the S5 with a hands on and are saying that the S5 feels pretty good in their hands "more premium". So while it was a slight disappointment aesthetically the S5 is a great phone and one of the better phones on the market.
Verdict...Samsung will keep Samsunging and the S5 will sell extremely well regardless of the marginal amount of hate for the company...Deal with it.
I was skeptical about it too... Was gonna bring it back within 2 weeks if I hated it. No issues with the button placement really. I always wake the phone up with the "knock on" feature anyways.the S5 is straight. I'm not seeing what the hate is for. Nobody is about to do anything revolutionary anyways.
Side note..I was briefly about to get the G2 then I remembered that's the phone with the buttons on the back. How do y'all not find that annoying as all hell?
Gonna give this Nova Launcher BETA some pt. Anybody else using it?
