EWD, that just means you can use the GS3 overseas.. Still can't switch handsets sadly. CDMA is just set up so that you can't do that and please believe they don't wanna give us that option.

LTE is GSM, and Verizon and Sprint are the two major CDMA'ers in our market...got it. I have known that for quite some time. The Best Buy guy while putting my LTE SIM into my phone told me that you could do the ole GSM switheroo with Verizon now, and I took him at face value (my mistake). I do travel overseas quite often so I'll just use one of my beater GSM phones for that.

There's a lot. Can't remember the name but there was a really good one or was that for SNES.

I want a Game Boy Advance one to play Pokemon Fire Red. >D

There used to be some good ones on the market but they took em off...

Android’s Most Popular Game Emulators Pulled from Market

If you've got any of the popular "oid" game emulators, like Nesoid, Snesoid, N64oid, or Gensoid, then you may want to make backups of them now and take care not to delete them. Google's removed them all from the Market, as well as revoked all developer rights from their creator, Yong Zhang. Since this isn't the first time an emulator's been pulled from the Android Market, it's probably safe to say that anybody who has any game emulator already installed on their device should keep it there, or they may not be able to replace it later.

Yong's now listed his entire *oid line of emulator apps, completely free, at SlideME for a two-week-period to allow current users who've already purchased them to get a copy before it's too late. If you were thinking of getting one of them and just hadn't gotten around to it, now's the time—they may not be there much longer. Image via Android-Apps.com

Glad I still have my emulators. :smokin

I bought a n64 emulator and Google hit that kill switch and deleted the app from anyone who bought. Talked to DEV, dude was like someone duplicated his app and pass it own has if they made it originally. It was 99 cents so I'm not mad, but still though if you bought an app they shouldn't hit the kill switch(remote wipe) from your phone :{ .......

Man, so I had my Nexus up for trade a couple of months ago (online) and I completely forgot about it. Yesterday,...this dude texted me and asked if I would trade it for an s3. I was like....................yea. Thinking that he was being a troll I asked him questions about it etc and turns out that he just wanted jelly bean that badly. So I trade him straight up and his phone is practically new. I am just like man whatever :lol. So now I am just gonna throw on this alpha jelly Rom on the s3 and wait for an official build. Talking about unexpected :lol :hat
Samsung Exynos 5 dual details released, fast chip is fast
Samsung has announced and published the whitepaper for their upcoming Exynos  5250 SoC (System on a Chip), and it looks like the stuff a hardware geek's dreams are made of. Sporting a dual-core 1.7GHz CPU, paired with a quad-core Mali GPU. The full feature list reads like the side of a desktop computer box.
 • A15 CPU dual-core 1.7GHz CPU
 • Mali T604 quad-core GPU
 • 800 Mhz LPDDR3 RAM support
 • USB 3.0 support
 • OpenGL ES 3.0 support; OpenCL 1.1 full profile support; DirectX 11 support
 • Support for WXQGA (2560x1600) resolution
 • Wifi display support
 • 1080p 60 FPS video performance and VP8 codec decoder
We see a couple things nobody expects to see in an ARM chip for mobile devices, namely USB 3 and DirectX support. With Microsoft announcing a slew of upcoming Windows 8 tablets, we should get used to seeing it. And chances are that's where we'll see this chip first -- in Samsung built Windows 8 tablet/clamshell hybrid.

Of course, it will also be a total screamer in the benchmark arena on the Android side, so that's what we're looking forward to seeing. No word on when that may happen, but while we all wait there's a great breakdown and discussion starter in the forums, where everyone can talk about the Exynos 5 until it gets in our Android devices. Check it out, along with links to Samsung's whitepaper and announcement below.
Black Galaxy S3 appears in Carphone Warehouse inventory, backs up Samsung Facebook pics
Those disappointed with Samsung's initial choice of colors for the Galaxy S III  (Galaxy S3) may be in luck, as information has emerged suggesting a black version of the popular handset may be on the way. The shot above (and another very similar one) has been doing the rounds for a few days now. It first appeared on Samsung's Facebook page alongside some promotional blurb for the Olympics, and it certainly looks like a black Galaxy S3. However, it's difficult to tell for sure -- if you've seen the pebble blue S3 in person, you'll know that it looks much darker up close than in earlier promo images.

Today, though, further evidence of the phone's existence has cropped up in a leaked inventory system photo from UK retailer the Carphone Warehouse. The shot, obtained by Android Police lists the black S3 alongside the marble white and pebble blue variants. There's no indication as to when the rumored black version might arrive, though.

With the garnet red AT&T Galaxy S3  in the states (and monstrosities like this pink Galaxy Note), Samsung has proven it's not afraid of throwing out different colored versions of popular phones. So we're sure there are plenty of people out there who'd snap up a black Galaxy S3, given the opportunity. In any case, we've reached out to Samsung for the official word on this, and we'll update this post with any info they provide.

In response to one of my posts I seen the term Samsung-stan thrown around. I'm a tech-stan no matter what the manufacturer. I go with what's hot at the time and the companies that are creating products hitting on all cylinders. In the tech world the companies that are on top tend to flip flop...HTC is the Android originator...the company that brought Android's goodness to the masses and they had great phones. HTC brought us the Original Nexus One with that beautiful OLED screen and was the first to receive Froyo.

Samsung wasn't hittin on **** for awhile UNTIL they released the Samsung Galaxy S (known as the Captivate on AT&T, Vibrant on T-Mobile, and Epic 4G on Sprint). They went with the OLED screens, had those Hummingbird processors and unfortunately for some brought Touchwiz into the world. The Galaxy S series piqued my interest, but it wasn't enough to get me away from HTC products, so I went from the Nexus One to the HTC G2...then I went to the iPhone 4 after looking into the HTC MyTouch 4G and realized I needed Android back in my life.

While searching for new phones I noticed that Samsung came back stronger with the SGSII and this time I was like ok maybe it's time to give them a chance since HTC seemed to have gotten a little stagnant. It seems HTC had a slow period right as Samsung was surging with the SGSII series of devices. Following the success of the SGSII they released the Note, then the Galaxy Nexus, then the SGSIII and they haven't looked back. True HTC never truly went away, but their efforts seemed too little, and too late by the time they released the One S and the One X. The Galaxy series was a strong marketing move for Samsung and they created the hype needed to keep loyal customers while adding new customers (like me). They also provided a viable alternative to the juggernaut IPhone.

Lastly I leave you guys with the picture below...it shows my current phone the SGSIII along with one of my all time favorite phones...The OG Nexus made by no other than High Tech Computer. That OLED screen is still gorgeous!!!

How are people liking their GSIII? I've had mine since the RD and it lags when going from a messaging screen to the home screen a lot. The battery life is great but the lag is just killin the experience for me.
