[COLOR=#red]WIth wifi enabled, screen set on auto brightness...emails coming through all day, frequent text messaging, and information searches using google it lasts a whole 10-11 hour day for me before it gets to the yellow battery level mark. The OEM replacement battery is only $29.99 and I am going to order one just to have a backup. The S3 has great battery life and with a spare battery it is even better. I have the Verizon version BTW.
Side Note: Jellybean is coming SOON, it's been all but confirmed. Although I think Verizon will be the last of the US carriers to get it. They tend to drag out their testing for it.[/COLOR]

Get the qcells off amazon... nfc capable. You get two and a charger for 25... they last longer than my oem.... strange.
Also the ezo charging dock has a slot n the back for spare batt sobu can charge two simultaneously.. lovin it

About to pick up a Unlocked GSM iPhone 4S 32GB with a straightalk sim for the low. Will I be able to trade it straight up for a Sprint GS3 or Evo LTE knowing that 5 is gonna drop in a couple months ?

I absolutly hate my new HTC Incredible 4g LTE. I went from the GS2 to this. At least its just for work and I can swap it out for something else after 30 days... I will say one thing, its fast as can be.

Originally, i really wanted a portfolio case... 4 dif ones so far including the sammy oem and theyve all been junk with the exception of the leather bi fold wallet one... it has some functionality but i feel like im carryin a womens clutch bag so... ya lol anyway the diztronic has great feel while keeping your phone thin, light and protected
The otterbox defender. And casemate phantom are cool if you need thatttt much protection but im pretty good with mine n when i do get outta the whip with it on my lap the diztronic has absorbed the blow nicely and my phone is still flawless

I always have the most difficult time searching for a case. Only because I HATE big cases, or cheap feeling cases. I pulled the trigger on the Samsung OEM Slim case and HANDS DOWN BEST CASE ive ever owned. I love the naked feel and this case is so thin, its perfect IMO.
I purchased it off Samsung site, received two cases for $25 shipped. The clear and the blue ice color. I currently have the White VZW SIII with the blue ice color and it makes the phone pop. It also helps with adding grip to the phone which was a must for me because the S3 naked was slippery.

/\ i like that clear... more or less what the Diz is but they all have matte or frosted finish... may scoop... this them i presume?

Dropped my GS3 for the first time today, got a few scratches on the silver trim, no biggie.
A hour later, i notice a small crack in the glass... ok, no biggie still.
Minutes later this purple color overtakes my screen and my touch screen stops being responsive.
Now... screen is all black with a few color dots.
Time to put insurance to use to I guess.
BUT until then... anyway I can use this slim sim into my old phone which is a normal SIM slot....

That's why I have an Otter Box for my S3. Yea it's pricey ($50) and kind of bulky but it has great grip and completely resistant to falls. After spending a year with a totally cracked Atrix screen, I said NEVER again!

If you're hot and bothered by the Galaxy S III on Verizon and have a burning desire to get your grubby little mitts on some custom ROMs and kernels, then rejoice, because you'll no longer have to plunk down $600 on the Developer Edition to partake in the fun. That's right, the encrypted bootloader of Big Red's Galaxy S III has now been unlocked. If you're wanting to partake in the fun, you'll find the requisite utility and a complete list of instructions over at xda-developers. As is, you'll need either Linux or OS X to carry out the dirty work, though workarounds for Windows users are possible. Be sure to do a bit of soul-searching before pulling the trigger, however, as any future updates pose the risk of bricking your device. That said, if you dive straight into the world of custom ROMs, it'll be much less of an issue.

i lost my phone other day an my upgrade is in sept, ive been phone-less for like 4 days now
gnote2 and iphone5 were around the corner but i cant wait that long, i dont wanna use my upgrade if they let me do it early at att because new stuff coming out so soon
gs3 the best android phone out right now basically correct, an if the iphone5 catches my attention what you think i could get for the gs3 resale value if i kept it in great condition?
also what color gs3 you guys rockin with?

Why not just get some cheap phone or old phone throw in a simple mobile sim for just a month and hold out till then. Nothing is not guarantee on the release dates on both those phones coming out.

[COLOR=#red]Al Audi my dude, you seem to be a very particular when it comes to your electronics. With that I say you wait until the real specs and pictures are released for both the iPhone 5 and the Note 2 before you commit to the SGSIII. With that being said you can definitely get $350-$400 for a SGSIII. Sounds like a lot, but if you keep it in an Otterbox Defender (almost OD level of protection) to keep it near mint condition then a person would gladly pay $350-$400 for a SGSIII out of contract rather than the $700 it cost at retail.

[COLOR=#red] Here is a much slept on feature found on the Galaxy Nexus, SGSIII and the Note...they all have a built-in barometer. Barometer you say...heck I need a barometer for? Well it's added to the phones to assist with the acquisition of GPS satellites, basically barometers monitor and report the pressure of the air, which can be used to approximate altitude. That information in conjunction with X,Y,and Z axis information from at least 3 GPS satellites help get a more accurate and faster lock (not to mention cell towers and wifi hotspots which is collectively referred to as A-GPS).
Another use of the barometers on our smart phones is weather prediction. There is an app in the Google Play Store called SyPressure which uses the onboard barometer to predict the weather trend based on air pressure changes. It is very helpful if you are an outdoorsman. Let's say you are hiking on a relatively clear day...the barometer can sense the weather trending downward with enough warning for you to head back to the car. This same function is included on my Suunto Core wristwatch and it works great.[/COLOR]
