I think he meant it was a setup in the sense that they obviously chose to ask this guy, of all their guests, these questions for pure entertainment. They weren't looking for anything motivational or insightful in the least bit. The hosts were snickering as they asked him the questions, and while he was answering. There are probably a lot more rappers who would sound nearly as bad as he did answering those questions, but they probably have some semblance of a person who has at least been to high school for a couple years.
