I think there's a mix up in this thread. Harm and dime define street cred as in, with rolling with Trel, Wale got that, 'he's about that life' connotation, by association with the dude.
With Wale saying, with or without Trel, Wale's been known 'on the streets' for awhile now, going back years by doing shows at these ring-a-ding clubs.

Yeah I feel you but street cred got different meanings to some folks (but is really aint about $#!@ to begin with)
and when I was saying about the dumb beef I was referring to the BS with Bossman and how the radio was
basically instigating the whole situation instead of doing there job
and to be honest I had a feeling somebody was going to feel some type of way about dude going to MMG
even if they was still able to do them and move on with there careers
