You guys continue to trash wittman like there are THAT many better available options and ignore what he is doing well. Like for example, the wiz have one of the best defenses in the league. They have a great mix of vets and youth. Just like I told y'all last year, let it ride out. Wouldn't matter who's coaching it's gonna take them a couple cracks to become a contender legitimately. This year is a great step in the right direction. If they don't improve next year THEN look for a better coach but Randy has done a fine job.

Speaking of Wittman...

Randy Wittman's two adjustments ignited the Wizards' comeback Game 2 win over the Bulls

Like I was saying before, he's been nothing short of fantastic this postseason. The regular season left a lot to be desired, because I felt like we could have been at least 6-8 wins better with smarter coaching. Playoffs is where you earn your bread. Just like the players, I think Wittman can grow/mature from the experience. As I want the players at their best, I want the same for Wittman. Remember, he has undying support from every man on that roster. That goes from guys like Temple, who don't play, all the way to guys like Nene, who's a vet. It's going to take something drastic to happen for him not to be back or extended beyond this year. Obviously there is a LONG way to go, but there was a time when many fans/media wanted Doc Rivers run out of Boston. IF Wittman can keep up the stellar coaching, then by all means, let him grow with this squad going forward.

*edit*

Defense is fine...but there needs to be much more creativity w/ the offense. When the season is over, I hope, at the least, an assistant is brought on who can help in that area.

Beal was nominated for the NBA Sportsmanship award, he placed 4th in the voting:

http://www.nba.com/2014/news/04/24/mike-conley-wins-nba-sportsmanship-award/

The voting is done by other NBA players, it's great that Brad is already being recognized as the high-character person that he is. Gotta be proud of that young man :hat

That sportsmanship was apparent when he laughed off Kirk Hinrich and his goggles the other night.

This is a real easy team to get behind. Took a while, but there are no knuckleheads on the roster. Just a bunch of professional guys who have a lot of character.

Cosign the culture change. However, I'm still a fan of Nick and I still believe Javale can be a force in this league if he gets his head right :lol But I'll let the Nuggets worry about him. Anyone going to the game tonight? I got tickets for game 4 before the playoffs started and so glad I did. Prices are ridiculous now...

Agreed DJs, this is the most likeable Wiz team I can remember. You never have to worry about any off-court issues, teammates fistfighting, dudes messing with strippers or any of that nonsense.. :{

And from what national media and bball fans online are saying, a lot of neutral fans are finding our team really easy to like. I've been coming across so many positive articles about the Wiz lately. Ex:

It's crazy, just a few years ago I was so depressed about this team and we were a complete laughingstock. Now, even though there are some unanswered questions with the team from a management perspective, at least I can say that I support the product on the court and feel positively about our players. Heck we even have good jerseys now :lol our old jerseys were mehh but now neutral fans are saying we have some of the nicest jerseys in the league.

Also I have no idea how this came about lol, but Wall was featured in the trailer for the Brick Mansions movie:

Gortat's defense is sooo bad.. if not for him we would be up double digits, he's letting them run a layup line. Come on man, everybody focus :{

Beal :eek how is this thread not at the top? Dunno about that coach, your record should be better than it is because of your talented roster. But Wall and Beal are tremendous, and its too bad Porter was such a dud.

If it's gonna take Mike ******* Dunleavy to go in God mode to beat us, then I STILL like our chances going forward.

Wizards shot themselves in the foot. Just gotta hope that Nene is fined and not suspended. Time to regroup, refocus, and come out on fire Sunday.

Not surprised we lost today considering we aren't that good at home. Like JJs said, I like the chances of us still winning the series if it takes dunleavy to score 30+ to beat us by 3 points.

Man Nene is lame as hell for the **** he pulled.. Dude always talkin about Jesus this God that and you make a damn fool of yourself and let your teammates down. Smh :{

You cannot get ejected in a playoff game off some dumb **** like that Nene. Mistakes cost us and we deserved to lose.

Need to tighten up on Sunday, or this can get unnecessarily hairy

Nene did some dumb stuff, but Dunleavy literally needed to be unconscious for them to win. Wiz winning Game 4 as long as Nene isn't suspended.

Game 4 is a must win now, but I like our chances.  I don't see Mike Dunleavy going for 35 on 8-10 shooting from deep again.
