The problem here is over in SW they done did too much explaining on kyber crystals.

Meanwhile, vibranium's cosmic origins are still shrouded in mystery.

Plus since we're talking about vibranium and not simply adamantium which doesnt exist in the MCU anyway it got a whole bunch of other added properties to deal with a lightsaber.

Also look at what can defend/stop a lightsaber. Vibranium can stop it

Lightsabers really aren't branded as unstoppable cut through anything weapons.
