When I see Winnick I think of Captain Marvel, even though I wasn't thinking about CM to begin with. She is for me the physical manifestation of that comic character.

Feige’s first L for casting has pretty much been confirmed. They dropped the ball with Brie as Carol hard. Forget Winnick, that was Alice Eve’s roll all the way. Great actress, not widely known, not to mention she’s nice to look at and ACTUALLY LOOKS like Carol Danvers. She has the perfect blend of appeal and toughness.

Instead she’s relegated to playing Typhoid Mary

Alice is a cutie, but she does not move as athletically as Winnick IMO. Maybe they could Punky Brewster her up to be Rogue. Winnick is the the real Cap Marvel.

For continuity sake, Natalie Portman should be the female Thor but eww, legacy heroes.

As far as Xmen I guess I could see Alice Eve playing Emma Frost but she was prime for Captain Marvel. She can turn the British accent on and off better than Holland too.

Winnick is 40 and CM is probably an 8 to 10 year commitment, she was never going to be an option.

Eve is cool but she doesn’t have what it takes to lead a franchise.
