They’ve supposedly have quietly been looking in to that, so wouldn’t surprise me.
From what I read yesterday, it’ll supposedly be clear what’s going to happen with him at the end of season 2 of Loki. So they either had some rewrites to end that season to recast him or he’s still there.

IMO, I think they're trying to get it out the way. With all the rumors about the story being very mediocre, I honestly think it's just going to setup Daredevil and Kingpin.
