so what happens when someone wants to start a new team, if every thread is gonna be locked?

We tolerated it for as long as we could, but clearly it got out of hand and started impeding the function of the forum.

Really, it's not that complicated. It's just a signature. If someone wants to use it, ask what characters are available, etc. then they can inquireabout that via PM.
