Unfortunately unless you know this person all you can do is take the loss, chalk it up to experience and move on. I have been burned on a couple of preorders and now I don't waste my time with that or with buying from any one with out exceptional ratings or referrals. I know how you feel and it's a pretty crappy feeling.

i would give them away or use them as beaters
i've taken a fake pair of forces i got scammed on n had a friend try his hand at customizing shoes.
don't think he's ever tried again since, but it's better than ruining a real pair
