What's good with Nike Elite Basketbal Crew socks? (SOCKS FTW!)

My USA socks didn't come in a USA package like that. And that star looks a little off in my opinion. Saw the pairs I have on eBay tho. Flakers suck

LULZ man you guys care that much about the stripe so people know what socks your wearing? SMH and just to be clear, majority of the people i see wearing these socks are straight up bums at basketball. just to close the discussion pages ago when some guy called me out for wearing no shoe socks

Seriously though, I think it all depends on the shoe and what you are doing.  If I am not hooping or am just casually hanging out I can be fine with whatever sock as long as it doesn't rub or chafe.  Sometimes I wear elites with running shoes and trainers.  Sometimes I don't.  I am not sure if there is a "handbook" as to what socks to wear with what shoes when, but apparently no one provided me with one this year or last.

Sometimes I wear elites with slides.  I really don't give a damb.  I don't wear shoes or socks because of what I think someone else likes or thinks is cool.  I also wear no shows on occasion. Call in the fashion police

My  favorite socks are the Elite Running, the dri-fit. I really like the thin stuff.

Personally, I have big legs (at least I have ankles) so calf high socks are not really a good look for me. Guess I'm stuck in my 2001 ways.

Oh socks can go in and out of style. I remember when Black socks were ONLY for old people. Remember that? If not you were prob born in 1996 or something.
Look at a lot of the 90s NBA All Star teams. ALL wore white socks even with black shoes.
As for crew socks, majority of kids/people did not start wearing them until I would say 2006-2007?

I thought KNOW people didnt rock black socks till UNTIL the fab five made it popular. I assumed they didnt make black socks back then.

Got my pair of volts at my local Mc Sports.

When the Nike Dallas store opened they got a shipment of volts for opening day. Apparently sold out in minutes. It got me searching for them again. A few days later a few pairs popped up on NDC. Not sure if anyone else caught them. I was lucky enough to grab a few pairs at retail. They go great with most Nike tennis neon gear. Especially Nadal's gear from last years US Open.

Just a heads up for people still looking for them at retail. It beats paying $30 a pop on the bay.

And yeah, the Nike Dallas store has a great selection of colors for the elites.

I thoroughly enjoy my pairs as well. I love the more targeted and thicker knit in the ankle area that you pointed out.

heres the clearification all of you need about these quarters.

the ones with the box seem to be from 3 olympics ago, the ones shown with ankle padding are the original ELITES without the stripe and the ones with the stripe are the latest versions.

i have all 3 versions and the stripe does have the most cushioning
