It wasnt the greatest thing ever. It was good for the time and thats it. They took 3 of the worst characters no one likes and made a show. Tryed to be overly deep. 
From the looks of the list its just shows from adult swim and toonami.

A good amount of action and great character development imo. It's what happens outside the ring that makes it great. The various boxers and their reasons they choose to box and the training they go through. Takamura, Kimura, and Aoki are hilarious.  I highly recommend it even if you're not a fan of boxing.
