Who will sell more Wale or J.Cole? and was Big sean debut a fail?

CB is the reason why bought finally famous."My Last" is the only major radio hit off that album.

Wale had lady gaga on "chillin" but i heard claims that nobody even knew that was lady gaga on the track. and interscope didnt even ship out enough discs. Wale could sell more than Cole because its gonna be a sophomore album... he's like a step higher than jermaine right now.

If J.Cole comes out with a single by himself.. he won't get nowhere. BUT...if he got drake or somebody whos hot right now doing his chorus for the radio hit. He will do 65k at the least on an album.

I was bout to say what gives a few of you the impression that J. Cole fans will only download the album?

Is that just a generalization of rappers who build their buzz off the internet and dont make radio friendly music? or is there a specific example of this with J. Cole and his fans that you guys are referring to?

To say the dude doesnt have true/real dedicated fans is a joke... rappers in general dont sell that much anymore so Rap as a genre doesnt have real dedicated fans?

First, 87K first week is not a failure, this music sales climate.

Secondly, I honestly don't think Cole will do 87K his first week. Maaaybbe Wale.

Where's Cole's appeal?

It's mostly online, like Time said. And dudes online don't buy albums.

Thirdly, Wale should sell more than Cole. Bigger name, has had more exposure, and with the MMG CD, even more people know who dude is.

JCole was supposed to drop his CD, but Cole Summer is now more like Cole End of Summer/Fall.

Ross won't push back Wale's CD, so Wale has the luxury of dropping a single/video and then having his CD dropped shortly after.

Wale will sell more than Cole, me thinks.

I didn't even know Big Sean had an album that dropped. Figured dudes were hype over another mixtape. I stopped listening to dude anyway.

Man if Cole sells as badly as Wale did I can see things going bad for him for a while. Doubt that poor excuse for a label will keep him much longer if he sells that bad. Might be a mixtape rapper for a hot min. I feel he really needs to link up with the right label that are competent in knowing how to groom an artist and help them develop cuz this ready made rapper already with a deep fanbase era is only working for a select few.

I think Cole will end up selling more... As much as people look past him, he still has a pretty big fan base. Plus, you have to remember, his fans have been riding with him for awhile now with mixtapes & random songs here & there... They've been hoping for his debut for a minute. He's gonna end up dropping that mixtape soon, build some extra hype, drop the album, & he'll be set.

Wale will end up selling pretty good too, especially with what he has going on with MMG.

As for Big Sean's #'s... They're solid... I wouldn't call that a dissapointment.

Yeah, like I said I stopped checking for Sean, right after Finally Famous 3 or w/e

I didn't think he was gonna name his album the same thing again. Dude's style and music got so boring and repetitive for me I had to cut him loose so there was no reason for me to enter his thread on here.

87K is great numbers for first week debut sales, I think his second week was like 24K (I hate the album by the way)
Still don't know why people are talking about J Cole dropping, don't see it dropping this year and if it does.....he's lost a lot of the buzz he once had
Wale's debut bricked New Jersey Nets style, so he shouldn't even be brought up. He's working on album #2 and got lucky with that "No Handz" gimmick
