Why Are So Many Successful Black Women Unmarried?

Has the youtube vid of the dude talking about the death of black culture(or something) been posted yet? Some of yall from that thread no what I'm talkingabout. I think Jordan Fetish made the thread.

Wait what's this? What female don't know how to clean? Cooking is something you learn so that's slightly understandable but cleaning?????

Can I get a list of these successful black women who are unmarried. There's obviously something wrong with the majority of them for this to be true.

Why not?

cuz she didnt cause this...ol girl had a few hit singles but lets be serious..she has nothing to do with these problems...those women who think like that were simple before there was a beyonce and will be simple long after shes gone...

its just a stupid reason in a legit discussion of real problems...

A lot of Black women are motivated to succeed because they have a chip on their shoulder from all the double standards and bullpoop they have to grow up around. So when they finally make it, they feel "better" than how they view the role of being a wife.
i have to agree with this...black women are at the bottom of the totem pole...to be black and a woman is a double wammy...some of you will say we are least "feared" by white american but that doesn't get you more respect...like Rilla said when they do reach a point where they've "made it" they don't want to "go down" to being someone's wife...again...all opinion...

Well, don't I feel validated...

They may make a lot a year, but ya'll lying to yourselves if you don't think they want a dude in their beds @ night.
Dudes scared to ask questions. I been hit like that before, where I was having a convo and I didn't know wth hell she was talking about. But she seemed engaging/passionate about it so I just kept asking questions. Nobody knows everything. That alone will prolong the convo and show that you at least have some interest in her mind. Y'all can learn from eachother, but people don't understand that.
SOME Black men are intimidated by a successful, independent Black woman...
Any man worth his salt won't be intimidated, it's just some of the bs that comes along w/ this whole 'independent' #!#*#$@$ ain't worth putting up with. idgaf haw much bread she make or *$@ bad she is. Fact is, men/women can lose everything they have in a seconds, then what are they left with? Strip all the $$ and the accolades away and this is the true person that you are choosing to be with. So if this person ain't %*$% but a degree and some $$ then he she shouldn't be shocked when they can't find a mate.

I wasn't gonna comment, but I co-sign this man. That goes for anyone, there is nothing sexier than a man w/ a brain. Money/career isnt everything. And as for cooking/cleaning etc.
laugh.gif
.
Like Mag said, if you TOO can't bring it to the table you have no business REQUIRING it from your mate.

Also, there is nothing wron w/ being a wife, but if that is ALL you want from a mate then you will have a problem w/ someone who wants to be more than that. If that is your preference fine, but that doesn't make her "wrong" for hers.

Last edit I promise lol. Why does everyone think it's supposed to be easy to find the "perfect mate". This ##@@ is supposed to be difficult.

one more thing.. for you chauvinist types, doesn't it bother you that as a man you basically rely on a woman toprovide your sustenance? From breast milk to kitchen slaves, if it wasn't for women, some of you guys would have starved to death years ago. How"manly" is that? Be a real man, learn to feed yourself for starters. Then we can work on the hard stuff.Clowns...

That's what I'm saying. A lot of women like to date and marry up...if you catch my drift. While many men date/marry down. The women who make 100k/yeardon't have much to choose from because of US. We aren't stepping up. This really goes beyond the conversation of single black women. Ideally, 12% ofthe men making 6 figures should be black, but this is not the case. Why should they have to lower their standards? Why can't black men raise their ownstock.

So if black women really want a successful man, she might be forced to date outside her race.

There is a term "out of your league" and clearly many black men are not in the same league as these women. You'll still get some play, but as faras wifing these broads......

Believe me, these women will submit to the type-A personality corporate dude.......they aren't cooking dinners for the bums though.

The good news for those of us who are making moves is that the competition is very small and when these ladies finish up law school, med school, and businessschool....we will be right there to pick and choose as we please

Realtalk: Steve Harvey has a point though, not all black men are going to make the cut. So these women need to be morerealistic. It's ok for your husband to be a trailing spouse.

Always is and why not just date outside their race?

As I said before, many of them KNOW that the stuff they try and pull on "us" wouldn't fly if they were to date a white male. The respect factor is already there. Black women respect white men so white men know that they won't deal with the issues that black men deal with. That is why it is easy for a white male to get with a black woman. And white men KNOW this.
I believe it's the other way around
laugh.gif
they'll trythat stuff on a white male before a black male

you know how many black females walk all over these white dudes? most of the time they are scared that a black man might raise his hand

I dunno...

I knew a few black women I told I could treat them right and treat them like queens...

But since I wasn't 6 foot plus they didn't wanna have anything to do with me until like years later when they realized what life was like...

Height = Has nothing to do with true love

I'm 5'7 btw...

It's sucked to be crapped on cause of ya height, but it's funny cause later on they hit u up cause they do realize love has nothing to with height orsalary, they were attracted to me, but since it wasn't what was expected of them, they didn't wanna settle down with me.

Meh...All I know is I've been happy and they haven't (a few of them have hit me up since my last break up talking about , "You wanna talk tome?"

Id wife every one of those chicks.

but for real its hard for black women to find good black men with their head on their shoulders, and thats why they turn to other races and i really dont blamethem.

even in college its easier for me to find good black women than for them to find us

They should date outside their race. I don't complain about the hoodrat to successful black woman ratio. I'll date whatever girl I feelcompatible with.

but yeah, first thing I thought of... they're talkin' about Atlanta mainly... don't they have like 8 to 1 women to men?
laugh.gif

Steve Harvey is on point with the suggestion to talk to older men. That's a way to even the playing field.

I know it's superficial, but if I'm a tall attractive 30 year old brother in Atlanta making 6 figures, I'm not seeing any of those broads otherthan for a quick smash. Atlanta got some stallionz, man. You gotta look at dating in terms of percentiles instead of an absolute comparison. These girls want abrother in the 97th percentile when they are in the 85th percentile. It don't work like that.

Why not? B's voice resonates with Young Black American women today. She could literally be seen as the voice of a nation.

...I agree w/ a lot of points brought up in this thread, first and foremost - unrealistic standards are at the root of the imbalance within our marriagestructure, or lack there-of. From what I've seen, and my own personal experiences, a lot of Black women have a fairy-tale outlook on what a husband shouldbe. And naturally, the more attractive she is, the more her expectations are inflated. I am one of the biggest proponents of maintaining standards, and I oftentell ladies I speak with to maintain standards; however, avoid marginal expectations. I will not divulge into this point too much, due to the fact that it isthe central theme of this post.

Secondly, as alluded to once in the post, Black women do not respect Black Men to a certain extent. I say this because a lot of Black men do not know how togarner respect from Black Women. Not placing the blame on any gender with this thought, but there is a certain level of respect a Black Man a Man should command, not only in relationships, but in general. And unfortunately, a lot of Black men in ourcurrent generation do not understand what it is to command respect because we were raised without a key element in our lives - Fathers. Through observation, father's should teach there sons how to be a man, and not put up with a lot of crap from all walks of life. Fathers should teach their sons how to carrythemselves in a societal setting, which carries over to the relationship. I see it way too often, ladies totally put-off by how her man reacts to her attitude. And most importantly, a lot of Black Women are attracted to the scum of society, what we refer to as "Thugs", or other low-lives.

...But on the flip-side of this logic, I myself fall victim to African-American Women attitude, because I simply have no tolerance for it. As soon as I seethose traditional/ stereotypical "Shaniqua" hand gestures, I think to myself "I don't have to put up with this @#%@", and I'm out.Which is why a lot of brothers claim they only deal with other races, most notably - White Women.

*will post more thoughts later. Healthy discussion though.

I like seeing these women single and hope they stay like that. I hate women that have ridiculous standards and expect them to make more than what they make. These broads have ridiculous expectations. Nobody wanna hear that %%%#. You should marry whoever you have chemistry with, whoever feels right. It shouldn'tbe about your resume
