Today I was with my cousin waiting for the J train and he went to approach this white girl and ask her a question (not holla or anything like that). I'm a good distance away and can't hear but know what he's gonna ask because he previously asked another white girl and there were no problems.
I swear in under 2.3 seconds this white girl's reaction was as if my cuz asked to smash on the tracks. She replied loud enough and said "Wow! This is really weird. I can't do this." and stormed off
I'm looking shocked like what the **** did he say?! He's like nah I didn't even get to ask her anything. Once he said excuse me, hello she started bugging out.
I aint seen a white person's reaction to a black person like that in NYC in a long time. Even though it was a black guy approaching a white girl.
Shorty was firmly placed in the racist category in my mind.
She scary or something ? She should have continued working out and dismiss mans. She didn't have leave just out of "fear" of being hollered at.That's weak and dismissive of real racism. A girl is allowed to have any reaction she wants if a guy goes up to approach her as a stranger. It's not a safe world for them and any decently good looking girl gets talked to way more than they want. I don't know why people refuse to acknowledge this and leave them alone. If guy went up to an older couple that makes sense - there is a built in security for them and they would be more open to helping out. Can't approach a female all by herself and have any sort of expectations for what she should do. Some guy at the gym asked my girl if he could have some water from her water bottle (i was playing hoops). She politely said no and had to walk away from the area she was working out since she knew the next step was him trying to holler.
Man please, we men.
Y'all just as scary too.A random guy asking a girl he doesn't know if he could have a sip from her water bottle is weird. I can't blame her not wanting to be around that dude.

irrational fear of the black man doesnt mean she can have any reaction she wants

Bruh, you should've left immediately. I wouldn't have spent a dime
We call these nips. Is that just a Boston thing?Bring mini bottles with you and down them in the bathroom. Problem solved.
But seriously, I hate situations like that and I don't hesitate to call them out. I don't see racism going anywhere unfortunately.
You must not be around woman a lot. They love to talk. It's not them it's you. U Prob ugly or got bad teethI think the answer here is if you have a question don't ask a girl standing by herself unless you are trying to holler at her. If you want an actual helpful response that is the last target market that is likely to help someone out (especially if you are a person of color). Is that messed up? Sure probably is on some level. One another level it makes sense...they are scared and react at such. Doesn't make it right, but to act like we all don't know that is to go out looking for reasons to get offended.

The level of salt in this post is approaching Dead Sea level.Op doesn't know what racism is, Jesus Christ....you asked what they had, clearly you weren't ready when you had their attention at that one point. There are no lines at bars dude, quit crying. Asking what beer they have is also a very dumb question, I'm sorry but almost every bar has a display or something to show what is available, look around and make an educated/common sense decision. You see the place is packed and super busy, don't waste time asking dumb things, that's honestly probably why you were forced to wait, or the bartender just wanted you to have enough time to decide probably...
Ive been on the other side of the bar for years at a packed venue. First off, don't be that guy waving at any bartender, you really think a bartender doesn't know what the **** is going on? They ALL know who just came up and who didn't, waving or acting like a dbag will make you wait longer, just stand there and wait. The number 1 rule of thumb is to tip good, next time you come up you will not be ignored at all, they will remember you 100%
